The mahi sandwhich was a generous portion and the grill and bread were good. The oyster sandwhich had 3 oysters with a lot of breading. The clam chowder is excellent with a good half sandwich. Fish and chips were crisp with good portion size.

This is the original CA Solana Beach Fish House, a lot different than the one opened by South Coast Plaza in CA They have a great selection of wines, some are pricey but worth every dollar. The seafood tower was amazing, fresh and tasty. The chopping not so much. The sauce had way too much sugar and I could not taste any saffron in the dish, maybe it wasn't in the dish. The freshly baked bread is very nice as well.
Staff was very attentive and knowledgeable of the dishes, specials and beverages. Overall a very nice dinner.

My fish was buried in Cajun seasoning so heavily I could not taste my fish. Their soda was flat the rice was not cooked all the way and the hard pieces were all throughout.

For $15.00 I was expecting a good lunch. I ordered a Mahi sandwich and received a sad piece of dried fish between thick sour dough bread. WOW! Solana Beach Fish House, you need to up your game or drop your prices. I would say the fair market value on your grilled fish fillet sandwich is $6.00.

Our dining experience was excellent!! There was 18 of us. The service was excellent. They brought our food in a timely manner. Clam chowder the best I've had. Kept our drink glasses filled. Waiter was very knowledgeable on the ingredients & how dish was prepared on the menu helping me decide. Excellent food!!

First off, I am giving this place a 1 to try and get it lower than a 4 because it doesn't deserve a 4. It deserves a 3.7 at best. Now, on to the service. The service was bad. We went on a Sunday @ 5pm. A typical time for dinner. The manager needs to do a better job staffing their people because they had one person working and he was scrambling to take care of 30+ people. Not acceptable. I would love to bash our server but it is definitely a management problem. Secondly, I notice, and it happened to us, the cook(s) do not know how to simultaneously cook food to bring out with everyone else. Again, not their fault, a staffing issue which is a management problem. Lastly, the food is good but not good enough to wait 40 minutes for it. I have waited for an hour for food that is ten times better. Boss, if you're reading this, you need to fix it because your employees will quit on you or definitely bring your 4.5 stars to a 3. Good day.

Amazing lunch specials 7 days. Yucatan Shrimp Burrito was really good. Shrimp was perfectly cooked. Great salsa and black beans that they make from scratch. Yum.

I was visiting CA Sunset district and walked by this cozy looking brunch spot. I ordered the a basic omelette and it was as expected. Nothing too unique about it. The interior design was nice and it drew us in. They also had a nice outdoor eating area in the back.

Everyone eating here looked very fashionable and gave the restaurant a nice vibe.

Small place, order at the counter and they bring it to you at your table. There is a decent amount of sodas and beer to choose from. They have two lunch menus, one is 7.99 and one is 8.99. Lunch sized portions are perfect if you just want a snack or light meal. Their Cole slaw is flavourful as well. I really appreciated the young man who took our order and brought it to us. He was extremely polite and seemed to really enjoy working there.
