The atmosphere was very comfortable and inviting. Service was friendly and great. Had a few appetizers and a French Martini. All of it was unique and delicious. Highly recommend.

Had a girls night out planned with several friends to go to the theater and dinner. Made reservations at Smash for 6PM, show at 7:30. From the get go things went wrong. Wrong drinks, and slow service. It was also Veteran's Day and I am a Vet. I asked if they were honoring vets and the waitress said she had no idea, but would find out. She never did. We never got our meals because they were working on it, for 1.5 hrs. I saw, the next day they had a great offer for the Vets for drinks and dinner, which, I got neither. I called and asked to speak to manager about this horrific experience and he was very blasé about it and never offered an apology for anything. Just stated they are working on many things and too busy to send anybody out with an explanation. Will not be recommending or returning to this establishment again!

Did not get food in 1.5 hours before a show starting at 7:30. The waitress seemed to not be concerned for the slow service even though she knew we had to be to the show at 7:30. We had to leave without eating. Poor service for a night when there's a program at the Fruenthal.

Only had a drink. We have been here before many times under several owners. The atmosphere is the best. Drinks are reasonable. When we were there at 6pm on a Friday night the place was dead. Need moderately priced food items to bring in hockey crowd or others. Great place for a drink or special occasion.

First time back after re-opening.just a little disappointed. Drinks were so-so..always enjoyed their martinisthis visit they weren't anything special. Ordered appetizer of pretzel/bar cheesecheese was gritty with not much flavor. DinnerShrimp Scampi..7 pcs of shrimp..noodles shaved parm. Good but needed tomatoesmaybe green onion..more flavor for the price of $19 for a small portion. Crusted Walleyegood but not very warm for $25paid additional $5 for side saladmenu stated $4.so over all a little disappointing. Menu is small and priceyfood and drinks just averagesure hope they improve as our table of 6 wasn't overall impressed. :( Loved this place and the atmosphere under previous management/owner.

Very nice place! Staff was very nice and helpful. Menu choices were varying. Enjoyed the wine selections, and the taste vs glass option.

Food was out of this world!

My only complaint was the service. The manager, Adam, was more interested in tending to a couple cougars versus taking our order. We sat at the bar. Hard to ignore a customer there, but he succeeded.

He made eye contact several times, but I had to go to the floor and flag down a waitress to put in our drink orders.

Better service would have given this at least another star.

I have been to Smash a few times, alway with a large group (at least 15 people each time) and they have always done a great job taking care of everyone. The food and drinks are great-nice change from the normal menu.
The last time I visited was this past week. I brought my 7 year-old daughter and met two other friends and their 7 year-old daughters. The employees went above and beyond to make our girls feel special. Changed the color of the lights to their "favorite colors", changed the music - even took requests and brought them their kiddie cocktails in a fancy glass. Our waitress was amazing with these girls!! Plus they have a great kids' menu with very reasonable prices. Thank you Smash for a great girls' night. My daughter has already asked when she can go back!!

I came here with high expectations. I went for my anniversary and was greeted with warm tap water in a bottle. Discovered they serve nothing but alcohol and tap water.

Looked at the menu and decided the ribs looked good. They were out. Ordered french onion soup, ceaser salad, and beef briskst.

    Ew

    Salty salty!!!

The waitress was wonderful and so is the atmosphere. But the food is terrible and it's not a place for people who don't drink.
