I'm self employed and my husbands income majority comes from commission. My business covers two states. Tax time for us is a dreaded event like most people. I mentioned to a friend that I wanted to find someone who could be a strong adviser. She recommended Smart Spot. It was a week prior to the deadline when our appointment occurred. The office is decorated with vibrant cheerful colors. A dog greeted us and then curled up in a dog bed. My stress level deflated immediately. In 45 minutes, Kathy gave me some of the best advice, best cup of coffee and a competence that will earn her referrals. I am so glad we found this place.

I highly recommend SmartSpot for all of your accounting needs. I have been getting my taxes done by them for years and have recommended them to a handful of people who now use them too. Because of the staff's combined knowledge, I never worry about whether my taxes are correct or not. The atmosphere is relaxing, which is welcome in what can be a stressful activity.

When I first met Kathy & Eileen I was immediately impressed with their vast knowledge of the tax codes. I'd been using a CPA (with a Masters in Taxation) and then a Tax Attorney and frankly was hesitant to work with them as they are neither an attorney or a CPA. Ultimately I decided to give them a shot. They reviewed my last 3 years returns and found several discrepancies. We filed amended returns resulting in significant tax savings. I have used SmartSpot for tax preparation for 5 years now and have found their service to be both reliable and proactive! About a year ago, I began using them for payroll and general bookkeeping. They are nothing short of amazing. After 41 years in business, I have never been more on top of my business finances! As an added bonus, it's actually FUN to work with them. They are both dependable and forward thinking. These ladies know their stuff! I have referred them to many friends and business associates and have never had anyone be less than delighted! I recommend them without hesitation!

Horrified by the promises that were not kept and the unprofessional, down right rude behavior of both owners. Shockingly disappointing experience. I still can't believe the childish end to our business relationship. They left us hanging and refused to respond to professional requests for needed information to reestablish our bookkeeping with our new accounting professionals. Do not be deceived by their seemingly kind and fun loving demeanor. Once they can't fulfill their promises they completely cut you off and turn into complete tyrant adversaries who you won't even recognize. I fear writing this because their threats are so ugly and their tempers are so vengeful, but I wish someone had warned us before getting involved with this organization professionally. I hope it doesn't happen to you, but if it does you will have been warned if you read this.
