The Arboretum has very domesticated parts, such as the gazebo and the amphitheatre, but further in it appears wilder and more woodsy. All the parts are beautiful. It's great for a picnic or a mild hike.

The Slayton Arboretum is off the beaten path but if you find yourself in the city of Hillsdale, Michigan and have some time then visit the Arboretum for some beautiful and peaceful views of this park. Recent landscaping has rejuvenated the water fall , which can be viewed from the drive. there are some old stone work turrett houses which make for interesting photo ops. A must see so come and visit the park for yourself.
