I am usually very critical of soul food and I have to say Sisters was delicious! My friend and I were skeptical because there weren't a lot of people in the restaurant [Piedmont Avenue in Atlanta (Downtown)], but we were pleasantly surprised by the taste. If you are Downtown and looking for good southern comfort food with friends for a quick lunch or dinner, I recommend Sisters. The service was excellent and the food choice was perfect!
The food seems generic and I am pretty sure the green beans are from a can. The customer service is good but I am not impressed by the taste of the food. It seems like they changed a few of the recipes from years past
The turkey wings were simply amazing. They were so tender the meat was falling from the bone. And that Mac-n-cheese will make you slap somebody!!! Can't wait to go back.
I AM STUFFFFFFED! The reviews I've read and Front Desk Clerk's recommendations were on point. Plates were heaping high. Food was tasty. Meat was (did) fell off the bone. Not even the fork, could have contained it. I literally ate off the table, I didn't want to waste a morsel. From DC to Savanna. Great stop. VISIT THIS PLACE
Food was outstanding ! Recommend all the items! I got the Okra, fried chicken, potatoes , corn bread, mac and cheese, and yams. Peach cobbler was by far the best in Savannah. I don't know why people like that other place, that lady isn't even from Savannah.
I was recommended to visit this place by someone on River Street. When we arrived, the staff was friendly and accommodating. Some of the food didn't appear to be that fresh (the gravy on the dressing had a skin). Overall, the experience wasn't terrible. The dressing was somehow too sweet and mushy, and the greens were also slightly sweet. Those I didn't eat. But the fried chicken was crispy, hot, and well seasoned and the mac and cheese was tasty. In the search for soul food I am sure there are other places that have stellar everything, but this place wasn't a total loss.
I went there for dinner and received a rib dinner. I ordered candy yams, red rice, and cabbage with the ribs of course. The red rice was cold hard and dry. The yams and cabbage were good. The ribs tasted like nothing but salt and HARD as concrete!!!. The workers acted as if they didn't want to be there. Bad experience.
We went for the breakfast meal and it was delicious. There was assorted items from to smothered chicken to salmon patties. The staff was very courteous. The dinning area was well decorated like an old home, which made us feel very comfortable.
If you're in the area it's a must. Everything is great, can't go wrong with any choice of food. Best place I've eaten at so far!
Excellent fried chicken! We are at Paula Deans last night. Chicken here was much better. Wanted to try the peach cobbler but didn't have any room left!
Lord I don't know where to begin. The food is horrible and the customer service is worse. I paid 17.11for oxtail dinner and it was not worth it. I had mac and cheese that had no flavor basically just noodles and cheese. The collard greens must have been baged greens the stems were huge and the ox tails its self was decent but could have been cooked longer to be tender. The woman who was serving lashes were to long. I see why the locations in garden city and by the mall were closed down. They will not ever get one red cent from me again.
The food was amazing! Portion sizes were good too. Great customer service! I will definitely visit again.
We tried Mrs. Wilkes, but really wanted to try some African-American soul food from Savannah. After a little Googling we ended up going to Sisters. The value is excellent, you choose your meat and it comes with three sides and cornbread. For my Husband and I we paid less than $22 and that was with drinks added on! The staff was very friendly, I have no complaints there. I felt the food was just ok, although the ribs were a standout. The red rice was better at Mrs. Wilkes, I hate to say. The dining room was dilapidated. If you're on a budget, I would recommend it. It's very wallet-friendly in a city where everything is so expensive.
