Always a great time! Great food. Lots of fun. Sounds was excellent! Love the triple play weekend.
We used to be regulars. They have good food and the place is well kept. Our issues come from the thuggish management, the lack of attention to customers (people talking, regularly walking in front of projector), the long delays for food (and even when we were regulars having to deal with undercooked food), and terrible movie pairings (putting an R rated kids movie w/a PG cartoon). They don't care about the customer experience and they are completely unaware of how to run a service. The management has been very rude to us in the past and the most recent workers for the past few years have been teenagers that don't know how to do their jobs. It's sad to see a once great establishment, one that I would tell all my friends about, devolve into such a brutally uncaring organization.
Also, I have to write my review here because they banned me from their Facebook page for voicing my complaints in a review which is no way to treat a customer. I'm writing this review to warn people that the 5 star sparkling review is heavily manufactured so be warned. Food is good but expect a long wait, movies are a risk to go to. It also smells like manure near screen 2 but I can't fault them for that it's a location issue (but there are cows to pet on a plus).
Just be cautious if you do decide to go that's all I want. Have a good day, thanks for reading.
I grew up going to Silver Lake Drive In. My husband's Uncle Gene Woodworth used to run the projector. I love the fact that this is a family oriented place and that I can take my family there.
Service is amazing, they always have fun activities going on, very friendly, and amazing food and ice cream. The arcade is the best and the two screens they have for movies are awesome. They have playgrounds on both for children to play on while they wait for the movie to start and they also have a big open field for each screen too some u can watch the movie from there or I can just play around while you wait for the movie to start.
BEST PLACE EVER2 movies for one price, GREAT FOOD, arcade, miniature golf, bounce house/slides, contests always something going on before movies start. Plus they have different food theme nights during the week and also a car show every weekgreat inexpensive place to take family, oh and a huge playground for the kids also ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ this place been going there for 40 years wish I could give it 10 stars cause they deserve it
What's not to love. It's mostly teenagers working there and they mess up a bit but we are there to have fun. Miniature gulfibg was gun and the food is good. If they had Hershey ice cream it would be even better!!
This place is amazing we love going here multiple times a year. The food is very good and not expensive. They also have outdoor activities for all ages.
I love going and i hope they continue to take good care of the place
We travel about two hours to enjoy the restaurant and the miniature golf. The movie complex is an extra pleasure.
One of the best drive-ins in New York. Much of this is due to its proximity to the Charcoal Corral. Park in the drive-in and walk over to enjoy. They have great free wifi. First batch of popcorn was cold and stale, but by the time we got the second batch, it had markedly improved. Only suggestion, start the movie at dusk, not a half hour later.
Fantastic! While large corporations often try to "engineer" experiences, the Silver Lake Twin Drive In is a wonderful authentic experience. Along with its sister property, Charcoal Corral, it's a vestige of Americana and a true destination. The owner is always on site and it is evident he takes great pride in ownership. They are meticulously run! Clean, staffed well, and fun. Many travel from several states away to enjoy dinner and a drive in. Come on a Saturday evening and make an evening of it with a barbecue dinner, mini golf, ice cream, and entertainment for the kids. Save room for the old fashioned concession stand at the drive-in. Thank you to the owner for the great memories my family has made here.
