Campground in the trees with full hookups. From road looks junky - go over the bridge to the wooded campground. This place is really for small or medium size campers. Site 1 is the only one that will accommodate a big rig. Showers were clean with plenty of hot water. Tip - there is a shower/bathroom in the laundry area - liked this better in the cold weather. If you call the campground directly for a reservation you do not have to pay the reservation fee online.

Loved our quiet stay. Nestled in a nice canyon, we felt safe and comfortable. Ken and Charity were very nice and informative. Clean bathrooms. Loved the garden fruit and vegetables too!

The location is one of the nicest we've ever stayed in, beautiful green hills all around with a nice little stream running along the side of the campground. However, there is junk scattered all around detracting from the experience. I'd rather not spend my vacation trying to keep my kids from climbing all over the broken down boats and construction equipment. Bathrooms work but need some cleaning. This place is a week of work and a rolloff dumpster away from being the best campground in the state.

We stayed in spot 1 and it was nice. The main reason we chose this place was so the kids had stuff to do. The hottub wasn't open, there's WiFi but you can't download or stream movies, basically doesn't work. There's no game room and as for swimming we were told to use the pond. Great place if you don't have kids that were looking forward to other fun stuff to do.

Rustic Campground! Camping in a motorhome with own facilities, electric (50 amp) ok, water & sewer fine. A lot of "junk" laying around. About 5 miles east of Taos on US 64 in the Kit Carson NF.
Owners and staff are friendly. Only deals in cash.

Ken Green is a Mental case ! He has NO business running this facility and the people who try so hard to help him get this camp ground cleaned up and looking decent. He treats his help terrible and talks to them horribly! I worked there for 6 weeks and the man appriciates NOTHING ! I worked 8 & 10 hours a day 5 days a week for him and he says nothing but mean things to say he should be put away.or maybe do a hoarder intervention if the public only knew the TRUE state of that park, he would be shut down!! The rooms he rents out in the lodge, the mattress's are moulding & after I cleaned one of the rooms and I told him the king size bed needed to be pulled from that room & replaced, he went crazy on me,yelling vulgar language at me & that was the last time I was asked to clean rooms in the lodge.but they are all that wayNASTY!! FILTHY!! AND SO IS MR.KEN GREEN!

I was hesitant to book a stay after reading the reviews on here. My fears were unfounded. This place is a little gem. Its about 10 minutes away from the main part of Taos. It has full hookups for RVs (up to 50 Amps), and nice secluded spots for tent campers and smaller trailers. I took a 35 foot trailer and a full size diesel truck with zero issues. Obviously some spots won't fit a rig that size, but I had no trouble with the one I picked out.

This campground is right next to a small stream, and Hwy 64 isn't too far away, but traffic is very light and I never noticed it. Chat with the owner if you want to learn the history of this part of NM, he built the campground in the 60s and has lived near by since. Very nice old guy. Next time my travels take me near Taos, I'll stay there again.

Nice little campground with full hook up, free wifi and nice staff. Trails start right from the grounds. Carson Canyon is beautiful and green. Some very nice isolated spots for those who like to be away from the neighbors. Facilities are a bit rundown though and should be avoided.
