As a Jewish organization that lives by Jewish values in serving Jews of all backgrounds and affiliations, we are devastated by the unspeakable evil perpetrated against worshipers in a Pittsburgh synagogue this past Shabbos. Eleven of our brothers and sisters were brutally murdered for no other reason than because they were Jews. Our deepest sympathies go out to the mourning families and friends of these victims. Anti-Semitism has no place in Pittsburgh or any other Jewish community around the world.

We recognize that improved security is necessary and want to assure our families that measures are already in place to install added security for camp this summer including a security gate at the entrance and additional cameras around the campus.

May those who were injured in this senseless act of violence have a speedy and complete recovery from their wounds. We beseech the Almighty to comfort the families of those who were murdered and ask that He protect the Jewish Nation from those who would seek to destroy us.
