The third time we come back for lunch to avoid the crowd and noise. This time we meet Stanley who is very nice and funny!!!! He brings us as much bread and cinnamon butter as we want (their cinnamon butter is excellent)
My family had prime burger, mine is chicken burger. They were full of flavors!!!! Plus, the lunch menu was so affordable.(look at my receipt photo) Thank you so much.
    Happy customers :)

The only place at orange beach that knows how to cook delicious food! The store owner is nice and down to earth. He's done a great job here.
When we were there, it was my birthday and was given a free brownie.. it wasn't just a brownie though it was spectacular. The sushi was made by a pro from Jamaica I believe. Out of this world good sushi, well balanced ingredients and artistic look.

Great food. We aren't fish eaters so we went for lunch and had steak and burgers. Great! Service was great. A little wait but not bad. It was busy. I hear at night it gets very busy. Great view of water and boats.

I had my wedding reception here and it was absolutely perfect! We sat upstairs overlooking the harbour and it was beautiful! The waiting staff was so nice and very complementary on our recent wedding! The food was extremely good!! Everyone who attending complemented how good the food was!! The steak melted in your mouth and the grouper was probably the best fish I have ever had! I did not try one thing that I did not like! Such a cute place with amazing food and sweet staff! We will definitely be back and I will definitely be recommending Shipps Harbour Grill!

    Sinking Shipp's??!
I'm local and can honestly say there's a noticeable decline in things since last summer:
1- There seems to be more kitchen issues- meaning more order mix ups, or food taking longer to get to the table than there used to be.
2- the wait staff is not as attentive or maybe not as skilled as they were; not all of them, but the percentage of poor wait staff I've had there is now out weighing the good ones.
3-sitting inside, there tend to be table busser staff just hanging around 'waiting' to clear a table...it makes you feel a bit pressured to 'hurry up' or conveys a sense of rushing the turnover that wasn't there before. This is probably one of the worst changes to the feel of the place and the easiest to fix

Now there are still plenty of things to love about Shipp's:
1-the food quality is still fantastic! -thank goodness that's not slipping!
2-The view and location of course can't be beat.
    3-The prices are still reasonable

Seems like they just need to up their game a bit with serving staff overall and not have folks lingering around waiting for you to finish your meal and we'd return to the family-friendly, laid back atmosphere that made you fall in love with the place to begin with.

We ordered apps off the twilight menu, which is available between 3-6, but you have to ask for the menu. The portions were smaller allowing us to try more things. The smoked tuna dip was AMAZING, and the fried pimento cheese with a hot mustard sauce was great too. The turtle soup was good, but pretty standard. The house salad was down right boring. The snapper and grouper both sounded amazing, but didn't quite live up to our expectations. The breading overpowered the fish. As we ate, the restaurant filled up, and service suffered. We ended up not getting desert because service was taking so long. I would highly recommend going early.

The food is always great. My husband and myself, have always enjoyed every type of food, whether an appetizer or a main dish, while dining there. If we entertain visitors, by taking them to dinner, Shipp's is always on our list.
Based on the quality of their food, I could easily give them 5 out of 5 Stars. However, on out last visit, the PDA between 2 Employees, was disgusting. These 2 should take it elsewhere, especially out of a fine dining restaurant.
Me & my husband came to Celebrate our Anniversary, and were looking forward to having a romantic dinner. It didn't turn out that way, as these 2 people were more concerned about themselves, rather than their customers. It took over 20 minutes to get our Cocktails, and it was easy to tell, that the Bartender had prepared our Cocktails quickly, but not picked up. The ice had melted in mine, making my cocktail watery. We waited approximately, another 30 minutes for our appetizers. We've eaten there too many times to count; and the food is consistently wonderful.

Food is absolutely delicious. Shrimp appetizer was incredible. There is such a big difference between fresh and frozen seafood. It is pricey, about $90 for 3 people including tip. Worth the splurge once in a while. If you go at night, it's dim, very dim. I didn't mind, but my mother had a hard time reading the menu.

Holy crap, this was one of the most amazing meals I've ever eaten in my entire life. From start to finish it was incredible. I had the house salad with the house tomato vinaigrette (superb dressing) and then the jumbo lump crab cakes with smoked Gouda mashed potatoes and green beans. It was all absolutely wonderful. We also had a great server and she was very sweet with our son. I would give this place more stars if I could!

Shipp's came highly recommended, but after reading some of the reviews we were a little leery. We made reservations for 7:30 - there was about a 15 minute wait when we arrived. But we were then seated. Erica was a wonderful waitress, attentive, and knowledgeable. We have two gluten - free eaters and they accommodated them with no problem. Large selection including fried shrimp which they were ecstatic about! Food was DELICIOUS....worth any wait, decor is so cute. I can say we would highly recommend Shipp's. They are busy but I can see why!....LOVED IT!....
