On short notice the staff at Shillings were able to accommodate a party of 15! Moreover, the guests wanted separate bills and they pleasantly accommodated. At meals end, they unexpectedly surprised us with fantastic desert, complements of the house. If you are ever in Marietta and want to enjoy Southern Hospitality, give Shillings a try. You won't be disappointed.

I ordered the chicken parmesan. The pasta was cold and dry. Seemed like it was microwaved. The cheese was unmelted on top. Overall horrible experience. Won't be coming here again.
Nice place for a brunch!! You can enjoy the views outside or inside by the windows. Depending on your preference. Doesnt serve alcohol until after 1130am if im not mistaken on sundays! Other decent place.
From the time I walked in, to the time I left, we we were treated very well and the table service was excellent. The food was of great quality and the steaks were actually very good cuts. I see lots of people saying the word overpriced. Those people apparently haven't picked quality steaks from a local butcher, as a 6oz filet generally goes for $35 and up, where here the meal goes for $32 here, which most likely means the fillets aren't grass fed/local. They did an excellent job at picking the cuts and cooking mine they hit rare perfectly, but on my girlfriends, they missed medium rare and hit medium. All and all, the experience was great and I'd actually come back. This is one of few places I will state the steaks are actually decent. I'm very picky with my steaks, so for me to say I'd come back is saying A LOT.
Absolutely, the best place ever for a Special Dinner! Shillings on the Square (owner Dave) exceeded our expectations with outstanding service and a friendly, professional staff meeting the needs of all 57 guests at our son and new daughter in laws Rehearsal Dinner on June 16, 2017. Dave let us personalize the already beautiful upstairs space by adding our own centerpieces, fresh flowers, and
pictures of the soon to be bride and groom. The food was excellent from the salad and bread to the amazing entrée choices of Honey Glazed Salmon, Prime Rib Chop, and Chicken Marsala which our guests raved about. Another addition to the already perfect evening included the piano player, Doug Gazlay.
On our invitation, we let our guests know about the free parking deck conveniently located within walking distance to the restaurant so parking was not an issue. At the end of the evening, the staff even helped us take our personal decorations and items to our car.
We will always be grateful to Shillings (and owner Dave) for making this once in a lifetime event perfect and memorable. We highly recommend Shillings on the Square in Marietta, GA
My wife and I stopped by around noon for lunch. We were quickly sat at a table by the window in the front of the restaurant. A waiter came and took our drink order. Upon bringing back our drinks, we were asked if we were ready to order, and we let him know that we needed a little more time. After about 20 minutes, the waiter had still not come back to take our order. We continued to wait, and I watched as our waiter walked around near the bar and the kitchen while other tables around us were served. Finally, the waiter came back up near the hostess stand and began talking to another waiter, while looking over at our table, gesturing, and saying something to the other waiter. Finally, the other waiter (not our original waiter), came to our table to ask if we needed anything. We said yes, that we were waiting on our waiter to come back and take our order. I even asked where our waiter was, and was given no response. At that point, my wife and I decided that we would just leave. I can only speculate as to why our waiter suddenly decided he no longer wanted to serve us, but needless to say we will never go back and I highly recommend everyone else steer clear.
I'm not sure when this place was shinning, but it's not now B rating on the restaurant with an 88. How do you not get an A. Of four orders three were wrong when it came to the table. Corn beef and hash came from a can. Presentation was a joke. If your going to charge the prices then you need to keep up with the theme. Staff was just standing around talking. Not sure anything but the fruit was fresh. Location and establishment have great potential, but I'm never eating here again unless something drastically changes.
Always great.food menue &specials creative staff goes out of way to be sure you are satisfied without being intrusive Anderson tonight made our wedding anniversary perfect.
Nothing truly flashing or amazing but the perfect daily watering hole with a classy flare. I love Shillings!
Very UNPROFESSIONAL business. My husband and I came across an issue at the restaurant. We requested to speak to the. The manager stated that the owner will be in the next day at 9 am. I called at 9am, spoke with him and he said that he would be able to give us our money back. We waited a few days still no money. I Called again for him to act like he can not do anything that his manager will have to do it. I spoke with her, and she stated simce I spoke to the owner I need to take it up with him. I called for a week straight just for him to hang up in my face. To this day he will not answer our call, or come to the front to speak with us. They are some CON ARTISTS. I also see how they treat their staff. I feel sorry for anyone who will eat at this dirty place. The health department need to shut this place down. I WILL be calling them today.
My wife and I decided to drop in for lunch on a beautiful Sunday. We had planned on eating elsewhere but unfortunately other places were closed (not sure hwy so many places closed on a Sunday, but that is another topic). Our waiter had the personality of a wet mop. He asked my wife if she would like a drink, she said not just yet. He said ok and walked off, without even checking with me. 10 minutes later he comes back for our drink order and has 2 words to say. It took more than 25 minutes for our food to come to the table in which he did not stop 1 time to apologize for the delay. In the meantime we hear the cook in the back and the wait staff fighting and cursing at each other. I had to yell at the waiter when he walked by to ask where the food was and he did not stop, just kept going saying it will be out soon. When the food came out my fries and sandwich were cold. The waiter comes by and tries to apologize but goes on to tell us about he argument he was having with the cook.
Management, get someone who can actually wait tables and do something about your cook. If your people are going to argue you might want to not seat people near the kitchen or put some doors up so we cant hear it.
We will definitely not be back here to eat.
