Very old German style architectural building. Food is on higher end of the menu. However, very tasty and home style cooked.

The atmosphere was beautiful, staff was great and friendly. Food was amazing. The best meatloaf I've ever tasted. And brussel sprouts Were delicious as well.

I tried three times to obtain a copy of my receipt for my stay at The Sherman, including once upon departure, once over the phone with a receptionist, and once over the phone with the manager who I asked for directly. This has delayed my business expense reimbursement. I do not recommend The Sherman for business travel.

The service was way less than expected. We were not promptly greeted by our server. Entres were presented before soup and salad was removed. Bread and water were not provided until the entres had already been presented. If the entrees were exquisite the service could have been over looked. I won't be returning or recommending.

The food was excellent and the remodel is beautiful. The service was very slow. Could have drank four cups of coffee while waiting on the second cup. Two plates were brought out and waited several minutes before the third was delivered. This girl definitely needs a retrain.

We were here for the Oktoberfest festival. It was a good time with good food. You could tell it was their first year though so I'm hoping they'll work out the kinks. I would like to come back and try the restaurant proper because I always grew up hearing about The Sherman House and never got to try it.

First visit to The Sherman. It was a disappointment. The food was just not what I would expect for the price. Beer cheese starter lacked taste and is served with a small amount of bread. The burger was okay but the fries that came with the sandwich were terrible. The fries looked and tasted like any grocery store brand you could make at home. For a $12 burger it could have been much better. However I did order a Ruben soup and it was delicious! The service was good and the soup otherwise I would have rated it as a 1 star.

We stopped by here on our way home from Cindy and it was fabulous! It was a 150 yr old building that had been remodeled, and they did a beautiful job. A lot of the original wood work is still there. The service was great and the food was more than amazing (we got the salmon dinner and kale salad)! Plus, we were in and out of there in an hour. We would definitely recommend this place if your driving down 74 looking for a great place to eat!

I am giving it a 4 star rating as I see the potential for a 5 star restaurant but they are not there yet. We went there shortly after they first reopened and were impressed. The bartender talked to us at length of the long term plans and what was still to be done. One thing we discussed was bar offerings and the lack of taps at the bar as well as a lack of true top shelf liquors such has higher end bourbon and scotch. With this type of restaurant one would expect a good high end liquor selection and he said that was in the works and selections would increase and taps added soon. Last night we decided to go back and were very disappointed nothing changed at the bar. In fact it seemed to be worse. Gaps on the liquor shelves, no taps and very dull atmosphere on a Friday night. One other thing would be adding some food that have some spice to itadd some heat. We like spicy and when getting the crab cake appetizer we ask for horseradish to kick it up a notch. In closing I feel that this place could easily be a 5 star restaurant but need to have follow thru and get items in that will make it a 5 star. We will be back to check out the restaurant again and hope they take positive steps. One other thing that is a small touch but is very noticed is my wife had no place to hang her purse at the bar or in the bathroom. Add hooks under the bar as well as hooks on the women's bathroom stall doors. We look forward to going back and hoping to see positive steps.

I would like to start off by saying the 2 dishes that my wife and I had were excellent. (Roasted Pork and Chicken Gnocci). The kids spaghetti lacked adequate sauce and the chicken fingers came out well over done.they did make new onesthe Service definitely needs worked on as far as the drink refills goes.maybe its a learning curve so I'm willing to go back for another try ..the place has a Great Atmosphere and looks up to date.

We celebrated my mother in law's 80th birthday! I'm so glad The Sherman was the chosen restaurant ! The atmosphere was exceptional. The history of the building is so intriguing. No expenses were spared in the remodel, beautiful beyond words.
The menu was brilliant, such a broad selection of entrees and all so very different. I chose the horseradish crusted halibut, it was splendid. The entire party was pleased with the food. The service and staff was 5 star as well. Very professional, pleasant and really seemed to care about our needs. The Sherman has now become one of my top choices when it comes to choosing the place to impress or just a special date night. Thank you!

The Sherman burger was delicious, and large!
Very historical building, lots to see including a separate bar area and sitting room that are separate from main dining rooms.
Worth the trip for those reasons - the decor and food are so good, the management may need to train the staff better, so it mirrors the rest of the experience. Friendly, just not much verbally, making many awkward moments of stares and silence.

My husband and I went for supper during the week. We were seating right away however, it took a very long time for our waitress to even take our drink orders. There were only us and 2 other tables dining. Once we placed our order though, food came out quickly and was very good. We will definitely go back when they 'work out the bugs', maybe for lunch or a Sunday brunch next time
