Ok customer service. Friendly people. Good food selection. Historic building, too. Used to be a civil war hospital

We love this bakery. I especially like the brown sugar & cinnamon cake donuts. My wife likes the rum balls.

Very unhappy with service there. I had a gift card that a student gave me and they would not honor it. The gift card was less than a year old but since they changed to a new system, they wouldn’t honor the old card that hadn’t even been used. When talking to the manager (and believe owner) she talked to me with a belittling, smartassed attitude. That was ridiculous on how she spoke to me. Everyone gets cards they don’t use right away and she acted like it was a gift so what did it matter if she didn’t honor it. I will never go back in that bakery. Burkholder’s Baked Goods in Sharpsburg, MD, is so much better anyway and less expensive.( only across bridge). Take my advice they are a lot nicer too.

A must visit if you are in Shepardstown. Giant Gluten free cupcakes! Yummy! And you have to try the white chocolate raspberry cake (not gluten free but VERY DELICIOUS) A nice treat before strolling the farmers market on the weekend or visiting the big book sale.

Yummy pastries, cookies and all kinds of snacks. Yeah there is healthy stuff there too if you have to. Great atmosphere, good coffee choices, naughty pastries and snacks if you want to be bad. Glad I don't live nearby cause this place would become a habit for sure. Good place to stop in to have a snack, coffee and just people watch at the window. Yes, you can get sandwiches but I never tried them this trip. Maybe next time.

I asked Megan to recreate my parents wedding cake to celebrate their 50th anniversary. We were so pleased with the moist almond cake and white icing. The details were perfect having only been given a couple of photos of the cake. The icing was perfect--not too sweet, which often happens (mounds and mounds of sickening sweet icing--ugh). Thank you so much for making this delicious cake for their special day.

Wonderful bakery! The prices can't be beat for a bakery!! The brownies are amazing (and reasonably priced $2 for a big portion). The ginger molasses cookies are great too! Everything else looked good.

I highly recommend this place. It is dog friendly. The staff is very polite. They have cookies for cheap, and have very delicious designed cupcakes. There's also bread, honey, and coffee sold here.

Easy place to stop and grab a bite to eat if you are walking around. Limited menu but everything we got was wonderful.

It has good food, I suppose. I usually never have an issue with the place, but I got charged $4.00 for a hot chocolate that clearly said $1.99 on the board. When we mentioned it to the guy, he didn't seem confident in his answer of "having to change it." The sweets are okay. Some are excellent, some are not. It's more of a personal thing. I don't drink coffee, but I always see college students with coffee from here.

Really cute place! I came in for a snack and the cashier recommended the strudel twist. They were delicious! I got 2 of them and an iced coffee for less than 5 dollars. The wifi was good as well.

Charming place to walk into then you meet the miserable staff. Had the marble cupcake. Dry, dry, dry. Crumbled and completely fell apart after one bite. Could not tell the difference between the chocolate and vanilla frosting, both of which were gross. Hubs had the carrot cake cupcake. He liked his but stated it was quite dry. Too bad, looks like they had some fantastic stuff.
