  Beautiful art went out of season so only a few exhibits were open but still worth the stop will be going back to get the full picture.

  The concert venue is great, and the museum offers a wide range of attractions, including many kid friendly exhibits. The Ticonderoga is a great sight, and allows you to walk all over the ship and even into the engine room.

  A great place to visit! Lots of fun and exciting things to see. It's not as big as it seems and is easy to walk around. Probably more carriages than any one person needs to see in a lifetime. Ticonderoga was great. Definitely worth a visit.

  This is an absolutely fabulous museum, it's so much more than what we think of as a 'museum'. So many different buildings and histories to explore as well as changing art exhibitions. You could easily spend days there and indeed most tickets are good for 2 days!
  There are a couple of places to eat which is nice and gives you options. One of them is 'Skinny Pancake' which has a good range.
  There's also a nice gift shop.

  Huge museum with tons of American related content. I had a good tome, but to really see the whole place you need 2 or 3 days. Highly recommend.

  I almost passed this museum by, turned around and came back. Possibly the most interesting collection of different types of history I have ever seen. Expect to spend two days to see it all. The circus collection was the most interesting to me. If you have a chance, do not pass this by.

  This place is amazing!! The buildings, not to mention the Ticonderoga, will leave you in awe! The amazing collection of artwork is out of this world! And the people who work here are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. This is not a place you can see all in one day, but tickets are good for 2 consecutive days. I absolutely recommend this museum to anyone visiting (or living in) the Burlington area.

  Coming from overseas I visited the Museum solely for the Ticonderoga, thinking that was the whole museum. Imagine my surprise at a sprawling, 40-acre piece of New England history. I absolutely adored my time there and would love to go back for the chance to spend a whole day there (I was only able to spend a few hours there). Incredibly well-maintained buildings, carriages, artifacts - if you're in the area it is absolutely worth your time.

  Plenty to see, but not really recommended if you don't have more than a passing interest in colonial New England. Highlights include the circus collection, the steamboat Ticonderoga, and the private car used by Dr. Webb whenever he traveled by train. The carriage exhibit in the Round Barn is also a must-see.

  Amazing concert venue. Open field next to the museum facing west. Best food vending I have ever seen at a concert. Fiddlehead Brewing for those who partake.

  I have visited a few times. Each time it is nicer. Sometimes buildings are closed and other times open. You tour at your own pace.

  THIS PLACE WAS INCREDIBLE!! I was stunned with awe moment after moment the whole time I was there! It's over 4,000 acres of buildings that were picked up and moved here-most, if not all of them-over half a century ago! There were a few buildings that, being made of stone, they had to number so that they could reassemble them again once they got back to their destination. The main house [I had trouble believing my eyes on this one] had ORIGINAL (really, I saw it myself) Claude Monet paintings! I so wish I could have taken pictures of them! Oh, they were just beautiful! I saw so much more that I could honestly write a full book's worth of a review! I will just have to end it by saying 2 things:
  1. It was so much more than I expected and could have ever dreamed of seeing.
  And,
  2. You really need to go back at least one more time to see it all. There is not enough time in one day (even if they were open for a full 24 hours) to see all of it.

  This was our second visit to Shelburne Museum, the first being almost 5 months ago. We enjoyed this as much as the first time. My only wish is that we would have been able to take advantage of the second day of admission that comes with the ticket like we did the first time. VERY hard to see everything in a single day.
