  Lots of exciting programs and things for children to do throughout the year. One of those times is called "prairie days". Lots of fun things to do for the whole family.
  The school teacher having class is my favorite. The blacksmith is really interesting too.
  Also have shuttle buses running all day from parking areas to the Shawnee Prairie activities. A must for the family.

  I LOVE taking trips out to Shawnee Prairie! The wild flowers that line the drive coming up to the parking lot and the large wild flower patch are so beautiful and great for taking photos by. There's a log cabin (and other buildings) on the property. There's plenty of walking trails through the woods and fields. This place is perfect for nature watching! There's also things to be seen inside the building by the parking lot. Shawnee Prairie is a great place!
