Shanghai is a great place to vacation. They have a hotel on site at overlooks to Marina with a private Dock and a private launch ramp it is gorgeous. The marina ruins everything from tubes to wakeboards to Yachts to floating houses plus more. I visit this place three times a year at least I love it

Our family vacationed at Norris Lake in August of this year. We rented a pontoon boat two different days from Shanghai Resort. The first day, we had storms a good part of the day which limited our use of the boat. At the end of the day, my husband spoke with the manager about a partial refund due to the weather and loss of time on the boat. The manger was very understanding and agreed to partially refund out charges! We were very thankful. (I just wish we could remember his name!) Their boats are great, and the jet ski we rented was great as well. And one added note.we sat in the restaurant for at least few hours while it was storming (with three little kids) and the waitress as extremely friendly and understanding as we "hung out" there for a long period of time! We would recommend Shanghai Resort to anyone, and we will definitely give them our repeat business in the years to come.

Honestly, Shanghai Resort is one of my favorite marinas to visit at Norris Lake. The restaurant has some typical bar food, but it is great. The grouper sandwich or salad with grouper is outstanding. It all goes down well on a summer day at the lake with a pitcher of Son of Peach, a wheat ale with just a hint of peach. The wait staff are courteous and the place is clean. I would recommend visiting this marina.

Staff always friendly, helpful and courteous. Food is good, the manager Lucas has a handle on everything and keeps the place looking and running very smoothly. Shanghai is definitely one of my favorite places on the lake

Excellent experience renting a pontoon boat here! We made a mistake with our reservation, but the staff was very nice & willing to help. Our boat was in perfect shape, pick up & drop off was fast, and everyone was friendly! We also enjoyed a delicious lunch at the cute restaurant!

Nice place with a friendly staff. Waverunner rentals on Norris Lake are great fun plus the lake is gorgeous.

They don't help or care about the handicapped. Their water to lodge was run through garden hose. As a lung transplant patient that is not acceptable. A lot of issues was due to my health but they were not accommodating at all. I do ride jetski's and was not parked correctly with trailer but there was literally only 4 cars in upper parking lot. Owner/manager was only concerned about their water line which was not ever an issue because of us. Left at 9pm, after paying for night, and went to holiday Inn express. Was a lot more accomadating and cheaper too.

We were well pleased with our rental of a Party Pontoon from Shanghai Marina. Lucas and his staff were very attentive to us throughout the process of setting up the rental, giving us instructions and setting us on our way to a week of fun. The Marina is beautiful and we visited throughout our week's stay. The Gift Shop is well equipped with fun stuff to take home. We dined one evening by sunset, and the wait staff were also attentive and hospitable. I recommend Shanghai Marina for your rental needs or just to drop by and check out its modern beauty. My family and I traveled from Florida on a recommendation from a friend to enjoy some lakeside relaxation. We found everything we could hope for here for a week. The hotel had the perfect view looking out over the lake from our room and it was fresh & clean. We rented a boat for a few days for skiing and cruising then and ate at the restaurant. The food was great, my favorite was the brisket! Every employee was very friendly. What can we say, my wife, son and myself were very happy and will be back with a larger group next year to take one of the houseboats!
