We try to get there in summer but we love it in October. We go for our anniversary and relax on beach. Easy to get to and always clean. Give it a try.

Great beach with restrooms right across Street. And usually there are food trucks lined up along street. The only complaint is with an older man who worked the beach ticket stand.. Very rude! But in general great time!

So calm and beautiful. Went with three children solo without my husband and we had such a relaxing time. We will definitely be back next summer. Easy drive from Northern Bergen County. Packed a picnic lunch and had a blast. Beautiful beach, easy access to snacks and bathrooms. Parking was close to beach so it made it easy for us to get all our gear and walk to the beach.

Not one of the best NJ beaches for me but I liked the facilities. Paying for parking is not my favorite but if it means finding a spot without any issues it is worth it. We were there on a yellow flag day where the past two days were red so it was rough. For me the issue was way too many pebbles rather than sand around the water line. When my feet sink if my calf of my bed got pummeled by the rocks that hurt. The drop off from where high tide came to was also not my favorite but thankfully we got there early enough to have a front row seat to watch our kids play at the water's edge.

One of the better beaches that we have visited. Two lifeguard posts with at times there were 4 lifeguards at each. We were at yellow flag all day today so that may be the reason for the extra lifeguards. I saw them rescue exhausted swimmers 4 times today due to the rip current. They spotted the situation and were in the water before anyone realized what was happening. The beach started to get crowded a little after noon but we had our section nicely situated after looking up the low/high tide times. Bathrooms and changing stations were really clean. Vending machines with water and snacks are available. All in all a great place.

I like that beach, the parking lot is huge and it's very close to ocean. The price is nice too $8 for parking and $8 for beach ticket. Lifeguards work until 5 pm. The beach is clean. Recommended to all!

This is a great beach for families. The parking is right by the beach and rest rooms so its easy to drop things at the car. There are showers and changing areas and a food court. There is also an amazing playground. It is expensive but worth it for the ease. parking is $8 and it's $8 a person.

Gem of a place ...This is free after 5 PM in summer and nice place to chill. Have public showers which close around 6 PM. With a car, while parking is free, you can get a lot of picnic stuff near the beach and chill. Unlike other nearby beaches (Sea Bright etc.), drinking is not out-rightly prohibited but smoking is! It's less crowded and there's some serenity surrounding it!

The beach is spacious, clean, & well kept. Unlike nearby built up Pier Village, this park has nice, natural dunes. Good facilities & parking (if you get there early enough) & great playground for the kids. There are 3 beach volleyball nets as well as one of the best skateboard parks in the state. The rangers & lifeguards I came across were also very pleasant & helpful. The only drawback is cost but it's well worth it if you get there early enough & make full day of it. Highly recommended.....

Went to this beach and had a great day. We were looking for something with a boardwalk and all it's trappings, and found this small state park.
the cost was $8 per person over 18 yrs, plus $8 for parking.
The lot was large enough to accommodate a lot of cars, there was a reasonably clean bathroom and outdoor showers.
The waves on the day we went were huge and the kids had a great time. There seemed to be a good number of life guards and everything seemed very clean.
We'll definitely be going back to this beach for our next day trip.

pretty nice place to enjoy the beach in New Jersey. There is a nice playground that has good equipment for kids of all ages. There is a bit of shade but not much at the playground. Get there early and parking is not too bad for the beach. There is a nice bath house with outdoor showers.

The beach is extremely clean and well kept. The facilities such as the shower and such are also very well maintained. Entry is free after 4 PM during the summer, and on-street parking is free after 5 though there is ample parking located inside the park.
Overall, I had a very pleasant experience.
