Administration need to revaluate their computer system and their incompetent staff. I really feel bad for the physicians who must work in this atmosphere and their patients who suffer as a result.

Never in my life have I had to jump through so many hoops to make an appointment. I only gave it a two because I HAVE spoken to some wonderful people who helped me a lot and I get blood drawn regularly and the few times I got stuck here my techs were great.

If you can go elsewhere though? Do so. There is an absolutely NASTY woman named Kanya associated with the radiology/labs department. She is condescending, rude, and has no concept of what it means to work in health care at all. It took me 4 months to get my MRI appointment which they messed up the time on (which is how I had the pleasure of interacting with Kanya who insisted I was wrong not them). My appointment had to be pushed out a week and a half to a Saturday morning. This entire song and dance took over an hour! After this MRI/blood test I am going elsewhere no matter what it costs; the rudeness, the waiting, and the risk for greater error than a wrong appointment time is just not worth it.

Pathetic customer service. Just having them put in an order for a test approved by the doctor, takes 2-3 followups.

Great care from all the doctors. Horrible patient care computer systems, incompetent and uncaring office staff. Lousy billing systems. Conversion to EPIC system in Feb 2017 has been a mess and leaves doctors without the info they need in one system. Don't go here if you have a choice.

I come here fairly regularly for routine care
I have been to several family practice doctors, the lab and radiology and have always gotten terrific care
My waiting times have been minimal
The staff has been wonderful - warm - and highly professional
I have been coming to Scripps Carmel Valley since they got started here and feel blessed to be able to come here for my health care
Great doctors, nurses and staff !

Most people found Dr Arash Izadpanah (“Dr. I”) rude behavior objectionable, his treatment is as bad as it sounds, also his words are just juking and jiving

Despite my having very costly medical insurance, this billing department never notifies me of any remaining balances I owe. This is now the third time that I learn FROM A DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY that I owe Scripps money. When I wade through Scripps' automated voicemail labyrinth to speak to a human, they invariably tell me, "Sorry, it's out of our hands now. You have to pay this debt collection agency now."

I NEVER GOT THE BILL IN THE FIRST PLACE! I've verified my billing address, phone number and Eddress THREE TIMES, and this company still cannot send me a bill--it goes straight to collections, and I get treated like a deadbeat.

The words "medical billing" already have a very negative connotation when used together, but this organization takes it to new depths of suck. If I ever get hurt, I now must ask myself: "Is this injury worth my credit taking another unwarranted hit again? Or can I just set this broken bone myself?"
If I were an organgutan, I'd use my feet to give this $#ithole FOUR thumbs way, way down.

Horrible! The pediatricians here like so much to send your kids to Rady Children, a killing place that gives you nightmares. I wonder if they can gain anything from sending the kids to that stupid hospital or particular doctor when not necessary!

My daughter was sent to Rady ER by Dr. Kupelian for a bug bite! Luckily we only wasted 4 hours there without being harmed.

But my poor son was almost killed by this bad-quality hospital!

Dr. Kupalian did not prescribe anything or do any test when my son saw her on the 4th day of fever with very frequent coughing and chest pain!

On the 8th day of fever, when my son's coughing was severe, another Scripps pediatrician Dr. B without compassion thought my son was just having inflammation, so he sent us home after ordering us to take chest X-ray at the first floor instead of letting us wait for the result and treat him right away! It only took 2 minutes for the result sent to him from the first floor! Later he
called to let us go back for a shot due to pneumonia found on X-ray while my son was lying in sofa listlessly. The phone communication was so unclear that I chose oral medicine(He said it was strong too) instead and he did not say it was risky. But he repeatly said on the phone to follow up with another pediatrician the next day! Later that day I called their office to confirm if it was safe to opt out the shot but no one called back!

After two doses of oral antibiotics my son did not cough at night any more.

The next day, we went to see Dr S as directed by Dr B, unfortunately she did not know his coughing was actually reduced or his condition was getting better compared to yesterday, because she did not see him yesterday! She sent him to a very irresponsible doctor Doshi in Rady Children, as a result of poor judgement or over caution!

Do you know what he got in Rady: no phlegm test or 2nd blood test in the first week; Got 800ml IV fluid within one hour twice, which made him hard to talk or move the next day! His hand got swelling only after one day due to infiltration; No one cared about the rashes or ear ringing or cough attack after the two guessed medicine; the chest tube from the right side got his right lung collapsed and they sent him to ICU, where the third incorrect and stronger medicine based on guess was used on him. They forced him back to sedation when he woke up from sedation! He got worse and worse until life support only after a week there while he was fine and getting better before getting into hospital! He was Connected to the tubes and machines in sedation for 12 days! Sick liver and swelling all over due to the third guessed antibiotics; Until 9 days they found mycoplasma antibody! So many X-rays and blood draws! The RT hurt his head, which caused the pain not completely gone even after 2months; The RT forgot to give him treatment for over 24 hours! A ICU nurse almost choked him; they let him take bitter medicine in the middle of night for a week without thinking of adjust the time or way of taking it!

Later when he was recovering out of hospital, another Scripps doctor Dr. Coffin prescribed antibiotics when my son had no fever and infection and was improving, according to two specialists!

Where can we get reliable medical care or caring doctors!!

    1. Reception & lab people are rude, I called lab for some question regarding my test and I was on hold for 40 minutes, after I go though the woman cut me off as soon as I started talking :(
    2. Lab result is very slow, it takes longer than expected
EDIT: I left my phone# and they did called back, but they didnt give the proper info still

Thank goodness I found Dr Kahn. Let me share with you just how frustrated I've been not knowing WHAT I had. Dr Kahn has a gift at getting right to the diagnosis- I think I would still be searching had he not help me discover that Interstitial Cystitis is what I suffer from. So much discomfort and frequent bathroom visits (ladies- I hate to be graphic- but you may know what I am talking about) and not only that, but the abdominal pain was excruciating. Dr. Kahn and his incredible staff are attentive, kind and caring-- I recommend him 150% to anyone with ongoing issues that want an answers- He will GO the extra mile to make sure you are heard!!

Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from Scripps. While the medical attention is good, their billing will punish your credit score for years to come. I pull credit reports for a living and not only have I been a victim of their inaccurate billing, but I've seen countless clients with lower credit scores for erroneous credit reporting. I've attempted for several years to address the issue, yet they refuse to remedy it. Ridiculous!

Outstanding facility!!! The Radiology department is a WOW!!! Very clean, excellent personable staff. After being a patient with Kaiser, Sharp and Scripps I am confident I have a modicum of experience with the various health care facilities of San Diego. Scripps Carmel Valley is unparalleled.

Dr. Wong and her phenomenal nurse Laine are so kind, genuine, personable, professional and amazing!

I highly recommend Scripps and specifically the Carmel Valley location. Also, there's plenty of parking.
