  Beautiful building and competent wait staff. Meatloaf at lunch was distressingly average according to my wife. We sent it back. The second choice was catfish. It was OK, not great. The slaw with the catfish was dressed with vinegar; great, if you like vinegar.
  
  My dish was the shrimp with cheesy grits. It was good but unremarkable.
  
  We did speak with the manager, who listened and appreciated our opinions.
  
  I would suggest you try the place, but with some caution. They're going through a change in ownership, so tell them if they do or do not get it right for you.

  A nice day trip from Louisville. Food is really good. Setting is fascinating, a rambling historical space - former female academy from 1830 to 1940. First structure in the complex was built in the wilderness in 1795 - of brick! A lot of Georgian architectural embellishments in early and mid 19 the century. The site is on the Nation Historical Register. Rooms are filled with English antiques for sale. Have lunch and take a tour of the rooms and furniture.

  Everytime I go there the food and service is five stars!! The best Hot Brown in Kentucky and Sunday Brunch is always outstanding!!! ☆☆☆☆☆ ♡
