Well kept baseball fields. Round trip on Joe Simmons trail is about six miles, great for walking, running or bicycling. Popular 18 hole Frisbee Golf.
Very nice for the most part, it had allot of Walnut trees so in the fall it rains them
Lovely park! Playground, covered shelter witg picnic tables, access to the river, plenty of grassy space, ample parking, easy to get to.
2 nice shelter houses with 4 - 8' metal picnic tables and a nice size charcoal grill with side table. No electric or running water. Nice playground located between shelter houses. Porta potty that was fairly clean. 2 different parking lots. 1 close to each shelter house. This is also the trailhead for the Jim Simmons Memorial Trail which is a beautiful walking trail that is 4 or 5 miles crossing 33 via walking bridge.
Nice walking, running, or bicycling trail. Also a nice frisbee golf course that is very popular.
Nice walking trail. Nice shade. Close to to other parks.
Nice playground.
Great walk along the creek. Be careful at dusk as mosquitoes become unbearable at some points in the walk. Fields are kept in good shape. Playground at the head of trail is bigger than most.
Good city park and ballfields. Recent upgrades to the parking lot and walking path added a nice touch.
This park seems small at first glance, but hooks directly into Jim Simmons trail which is about a 6 mile round trip if you're looking for a good jog or bike ride.
The main park could use a little updating, some old horseshoe pits that they just cemented in and one pavilion out of the 50's.
