  Big rooms. Well furnished. If bed's too high, look underneath for a step stool. Microwave & good-sized fridge. 4-cup coffee maker w/2 pks provided. "Continental Breakfast" when we were there in winter was 4 packaged muffins on the microwave. They were good, though.
  
  Conviently located to historic Manteo sites (Roanoke Lost Colony) and Nags Head -- part of Outer Banks -- with Wright Brothers Memorial Park (first manned powered flight). Connects southward with Hatteras National Seashore.

  Location is nice. They use old (maybe antique) furniture in the room's which I didn't mind. The room was clean and spacious. Lobby hours were a bit odd.

  Very clean, quiet & it feels like home. Rooms are unique. Convenient to Duck Thru, Dollar General, 7-11 & Food-a-Rama. Less than 10 mins to the beach. The dock area in Manteo has great food & shops. It's nice to be able to sit outside your room & relax in the morning or the evening. Wonderful place & we would go back again.

  This quaint little inn is the gem of Manteo. Located just minutes from downtown, Scarborough Inn is within walking distance of many of the locally-owned dining establishments. I love the furnishings and the layout of the buildings and grounds. The beds are very comfortable, and there is plenty of room. They even left cheese danishes and cinnamon rolls when we arrived and after they cleaned the room. They also wait until you leave before they clean your room, so there is no knocking on your door when you are sleeping in. The staff is warm and friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

  Came for wedding anniversary, room was very clean, location was perfect as there are so many things to do that are really close. The room has a more homey feel than a hotel. Will definitely be back.

  Quaint room with period furniture. A little small, but clean on the inside. Old squeaky mattress. Friendly staff. Needs updating on the exterior of the buildings. Excellent location close to old town Manteo.

  We only planned on staying one night, but made it two after we saw the rooms and location. It's a short drive to beach access. Rooms were incredibly clean. Rebecca at the front desk was just wonderful. I highly recommend!
