To those of you criticizing how long it takes for Savage 4x4 to do a hero build, let me enlighten you. This is a build, as a gift, at NO COST TO THE RECIPIENT. Savage is able to do this because of friends and family donating time and money, vendors donating parts and the help of local businesses as well as James Thompson and myself donating endless hours and thousands of our own hard-earned dollars. This is from our hearts; it is not a publicity stunt. Jim's Mr. Mylanta is a ...publicity stunt, lol. We try to promote local businesses that contribute time and money such as Six Bends Top Rocker, Advance Auto Parts, Rough Country, Sound America, BKE Restoration, City Electric Supply, Best Top, Seward Lighting, and many more (links on our website). Time spent on fundraising to include planning, permitting, advertising and long days in the hot sun setting up, running and cleaning up after events with the help of our amazingly wonderful volunteers. Contacting others to provide space, food and entertainment as well as raffle items to help make a successful event with great entertainment such as Unforgiven Country Band, Lester Beleau, Cody Weaver Music, Live and Learn, Tags Whiskey Bent, and so many more. Many hours after-hours donated by ourselves, our employees and our friends and Savage Fam building, repairing, planning the build and double-checking to fine-tune any motor work, frame, breaks, install suspension, tires and wheels, electrical, interior, and all accessories and any other upgrades such as bumpers, winch, steps, fenders, lighting, etc. We have sent the vehicle for body work and paint donated by Prime Paint and Body, Gerber Collision and This Creative as well as powder coating by Westcoast Powder Coating and Fusion Powder Coating, and send for sound installation and interior. We appreciate any help and financial records for the build are open. Please contact us if you are interested in contributing or fundraising! Everything is appreciated! This takes a lot of time to put together, as it is not just a bolt-on with wheels and tires and is completely non-profit.
