The volunteer Ken was extremely helpful and kind. Gave us all sorts of ideas. Thanks so much.
Heavenly
It's a nice little building very cute has a lot of information inside. The people in there are rude. Would not talk to my husband and I. We had a few questions. They ignored us. Very rude.
The welcome center is located at the entrance to Sanibel Island and easy to spot on the right side. Unique colorful building with a large island map outside, ample parking. The staff was friendly and helpful, and very patient. Clean restrooms and many brochures.
a bit overly lit but otherwise fan-tas-tic if you need any kind of advice. definitely worth a stop, even if you know where you're going !
We were here in March 2015, Very beautiful picked up a lot of shells! Would definitely come back!
I loved this place, the staff was so friendly and helpful; I'm so glad we stopped first thing when coming over the bridge. They had great recommendations on what beaches to see and where to go. Later in the day, we used the Sanibel-Captiva website to find restaurants that didn't show up in a Google search. The Sanibel-Captiva site is the BEST place for reliable local information. Bravo!
The Sanibel Island and Captiva Island Chamber of Commerce has a lot of great information on hotels, resorts, restaurants, shopping, local events and things to do on Sanibel & Captiva Islands. The staff at the Chamber is very friendly and informative. If you need a last minute hotel reservation, this is a great place to go. They have a daily vacancy list, which provides good deals when hotel rooms are available.
