  The location is both great and awful. During Christmas, it's awful. Drove the block for almost an hour to get here. It's great after you're here though, because you're super close to everything, literally across the street from Temple square. What did disappoint me though was that even though my family and I are here for three days, WE have to pay to park at OUR hotel, just like the event parking people. If it weren't for the craziness to get here, and the extra cost to park, I might give it 4 stars. It's ok, but I'm probably going to just stay further away next time, and come into town to park, since I'm paying for that anyway...I'd advise the same for you.

  Room service from the restaurant downstairs is great. The food is really good, and the service is fast. For room service, it is reasonably priced as well. The views from the hotel are awesome, and the room itself was very clean and temperature was easy to control. A bit dim, as there were only lamps, though. Overall, a good stay for the hotel itself, but the location can be troublesome, based on what you are looking to pay for.

  Good hotel and awesome location. The front desk was nice. The room itself was accomodating and large. The bathroom was a bit small and smaller than I would have liked it. The black out curtains worked well and outside noise was minimal. Downside was $8 overnight fee for parking the car in their lot, and late checkout is only available the day of. No real point in late checkout except to sleep in, and with having to call them early in the morning doesn't make sense because by then you are already up.

  The first weekend of November 2017 my wife and I stayed at the Plaza Hotel and had a most wonderful experience. Maria and Mary were very good at professionally promoting the property and the value of upgrading to a suite with the large jetted tub. It was worth the extra cost! It was truly value added. I do not think many hotels these days make an effort to tell a walk-in customer that there are other advantages for making an investment for a better experience. They were both super helpful throughout our stay. We did not regret one second making the choice for going all the way for the best!

  Friendly and great service! We spent our anniversary in the suite with the big tub! It was beautiful. Would stay there again and again! Beautiful view as well during the Christmas Season!

  Stayed overnight for my visit to neurosurgeon. Extremely pleasant personnel every time I interacted. The price was extremely reasonable and it was 3 miles to hospital. They don't have a regular shuttle to the hospital but encouraged me to talk to the driver and see if he/she would take me. I was nervous about my early appointment so decided to take a cab instead and the front desk people were very helpful recommending a cab company (city cab, they were great) and giving me the number. The room was small, but very clean which is what I am most concerned with. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom spotless. Good free wifi and lots of outlets and a nice desk and chair. I will definitely stay here again.

  Nice room and very comfortable beds. Small bathroom, mini fridge and microwave. Fantastic location with free parking right next to Temple square. No breakfast but JB's next door had a very good breakfast buffet.

  We really enjoyed our stay here, had a room with beautiful view, small gym and super nice staff. Merry was so helpful and generous with everything. Her recommendations for dinner was one of the best we had in the past week. Thanks!

  This place was pretty great! The staff were lovely, though I couldn't manage to get my microwave to work. Clean, comfy, and really great location. The building seemed run-down on the outside.

  We were only there very briefly as we were going to Idaho the next day to see the solar eclipse. So we arrived late in the evening and left really early in the morning (4 am). So we didn't really have time to form an opinion. But the staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was very nice. Would definitely stay there again. There was lots of parking spaces available as well.

  Our stay was wonderful. All of the staff here was amazing, friendly, and had great customer service. Andrew went out of his way to accommodate us with shuttles during our travels, due to my injured foot. Larry (gift shop) was so kind and we loved his home town feel as we visited the store daily. They have great items to take home for souvenirs as well as other basic needs we forgot to bring. Our room was clean, nice and spacious with comfortable beds. It included a table and chairs, desk, refrigerator and microwave. The views from the hotel were amazing. It overlooks Temple Square and you can look at the mountains and the state capital in the distance. It is very close to the convention center, and walking distance to the mall. Over all, I would highly recommend Salt Lake Plaza Hotel!

  The location is great but there is extra cost for parking, and the rooms were not very user friendly. The door handle pulled up and the bathroom water pushed out when it looked like it should do something completely different. The staff was nice however, and the room was clean.

  Hotel is in a great location. Looks dated from the outside and from the inside. The gift shop gentleman is awesome. There's a young, male desk clerk with glasses who takes his job a little too seriously.

  Stayed last year for a week and location is perfect for spending time at the library. Clean, friendly, and walk out the back door and walk right in to the library. When we were hungry we put our feet up, ordered room service from the restaurant downstairs and relaxed! Wonderful time. We were there to study genealogy, so it was ideal. And, shuttle from the airport, and if not busy, to the store and back. Staff was outstanding.

  Super friendly staff got us a room at very last minute and were very accommodating. Rooms were very clean, bed clean and comfortable. Only possible complaint would be the temperature controls in the shower were very sensitive. Overall a 10/10 stay

  Nice hotel. Furnishings are a little bit older, but still in good shape. The staff was friendly, but not overly ambitious. The hotel shuttle runs regularly, but don't be offended if the driver is very laid back; the airport is just about 15 minutes away.
