Ive had good experiences here. Birth of my first born went flawless and my second will be born there tomorrow if all goes well. I had to go in over kidney stones once and they were polite and helpful. These are my personal experiences and know many people who have not had good experiences there. Birth center is worth going to and smaller non life threatening issues are handled well but more critical situations should be handled by a better hospital

For the Birthing Center: the staff was absolutely amazing. They were some of the friendliest and kindest people. This was my forth child's birth and the 4th hospital we've done this at and my second was born at Vanderbilt. Now, I haven't gotten my bill, yet, but the experience was above par and I am thankful for all the ladies that helped me throughout my experience, and the forward thinking you don't always expect from a smaller town's hospital. They were knowledgeable and there were no intimidation tactics, or arguing. They were always there to lend help when needed I could go on and write a novella about how wonderful my experience was.

If I ever had to be transported to this hospital via ambulance I would pay the driver to take me somewhere else. Or leave me on the side of the road!

The nurses and the Dr. I saw were great. However, the same can not be said for the billing or administrative part of this hospital nor that of the physicians billing company. I visited there in 10/2016 and the first thing I was asked was for my insurance card so they could copy it. Fast forward to December. I get a insurance claim denial from a insurance company that I haven't had in over 5 years. Where the hospital came up with that information is beyond me. I call to correct the information and can't reach anybody but leave a message. Three weeks later, I finally receive a call from them and am able to give them the correct info. Lo and behold today I receive a letter from 12/27/2017 ( a week after giving them the correct information) telling me they need my correct insurance information. On top of that, the Physicians billing company sends me a bill in December, finally, asking for my insurance information. It lists an online site that the information can be put in, which I do immediately. That was 3 weeks ago, with the first bill from them. Today I get another bill and they are again requesting insurance information but have already turned me over to a credit collection agency. When I call to repeat the information, they treat me like I'm lying about only receiving 1 other bill which I responded to. Then they say that the information I put in on the web site was incorrect and couldn't be billed. So I start giving the the mailing address which starts WPPA/Pr. and she stops me and says " oh that's the problem. We have to have a p.o. box not a website." I tell her if you let me finish I will give you the rest of the mailing address and the mailing address starts WPPA/ Pro followed by the street address, city, state and zip. Now I'm in collections for their incompetency! What a joke. Tonya Hendrickson - a nurse who knows how it should work!

The only reason that this is getting two stars is because of the friendly nurses. Now my standards may be higher than normal. Because I come from a big city with prestigious hospitals that are actually equipped to deal with patients. Two different ER visits for the same symptoms two different diagnosis weeks later still in pain with the exact same symptoms. Now this wasn't a case of drug seeking had abdominal pain the first time I was told it was kidney stones. The second time it was diverticulitis. Both times I asked for Toradol a non-narcotic. Both times the individuals that were providing Aid but not seem very confident in their diagnosis. Which shows in the fact that my antibiotics ran out and I'm still having abdominal pain. So all I managed to do was rack up a lot of expensive bills and receive no relief. My recommendation to anyone who wants to go here I would tell you don't, even the medics in the area told me to just take myself to Rutherford County I would be better off. I'm typically not as harsh with reviews but upon digging a little bit further I found that I'm not the only person who has negative things to say about this establishment. I can't place blame on any one doctor or member of staff but there definitely is room for improvement.

What people don't understand is that this is a "Rural" hospital. Many rural hospitals are limited or inadequate in their services including cutting off hospital medical supplies which is crucial. If you have a serious problem I suggest you go to a better equipped hospital than this one. I'll have to agree it should not be called a hospital, more like urgent care.

I have never in my life been to a slower emergency room. My daughter fell and hurt her head bad on the concrete pool and she was traumatized. I drove 70 mph down here from Altamont to wait 3 1/2 hours.trauma victims are supposed to go ahead of these druggies wanting pills. They made us wait till well after midnight and we arrived at 8 PM . The most horrible hospital in Tennessee and that's putting it mildly. The nurses was rude and said Trauma victims went first and that was a mis truth. Harton Hospital you never get treated like this . A lesson learned. Well, 4 hours later the nicest doctor cane in and ordered X-rays. He was nice but they rest of the staff was horrid.

I liked it because I can get treated by tn. Oncology Dr ma. In the Dr. Suites located inside riverpark. Tn. Oncology ie. Dr ma my oncologist her and her staff are great.

I have had 2 knee replacements and another major surgery there. Excellent care all 3 times. While my daughter was visiting from Texas, had to have emergency gallbladder surgery. They were super!

Horrific experience here. I gave my 85 yr olds med list to 3 different people and she still had incorrect meds for a week. After 3 weeks in this hospital (2 in rehab) she literally smelled bad when I brought her home. She was left in bed all but 2 to 3 hours of the day with little interaction. I talked to these people til I was blue in the face with no results. Thinking her meds were finally fixed, I find out today she was given a med around 8am that is supposed to be taken in the evening so all she can do is sleep. She appears as tho she has been beaten down and is afraid to speak. Just called and asked last time she got a shower and was told it was 6 days ago.

Took my 6 year old in for a broke noise sticking out his left side to of x-rays sent him home said every thing was fine! Took him to Nashville he has a broke noise and has to have surgery now! This place is a joke!
