Sagami has a been a favorite for many, many years..! One of the only truly authentic Japanese owned sushi restaurants in the region. Anything you try is good..!

Chirashi is very popular here. Sushi dishes take a while to come out so order asap. quality is not consistent but always good but sometimes REALLY good - also if you're tall - watch out!

Everything I ever order here is fresh & wonderful and the presentation is absolutely flawless. It's a byob so pick up some good saki and they will warm it for you. Only Nobu in NYC is better.

Hamachi Kama - this dish is not on the menu - if you don't know what it is, order and try it anyway. You will not regret. Limited quantities each night, when they run out, they're out!

Don't be fooled by Sagami's boxy exterior or its knotty-pine paneling and booths. Delicate soy sauce pitchers and intricately painted wooden serving bowls make this place as authentic as it gets.

Ambiance is great, sushi pieces and sashimi are second to none. Sushi rolls are a total pass though--Umi Sushi is better.

Best Sushi in the tri-state area. Try the chirasi or sushi combinations. Its BYOB, so don't forget to bring an extra beer or 3 for Shigeru-san & crew.

Chirashi here is excellent. I almost always get this when I dine here. WARNING: takes forever to prepareexpect to wait at least 45 mins while the rest of the table gets their food earlier.

It is always rewarding to eat at Sagami. Have been going here for over 10 years. Usually chirashi, sashimi, and unagi here is to die for. Open for lunch (Tue-Fri) and Dinner, closed on Mondays.
