  March 9, 2019, was a special day for the Howard family. MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center Foundation hosted a special dedication of the Jean Howard Infusion Center, a new outpatient center for chemo and infusion patients, creating a legacy for one of our beloved patients, Jean Howard.

  This project would not have happened without Bill Howard, who with his family and friends, and generous community members, raised more than $700,000 to build the center. The center was fully funded by philanthropy. We know Jean is so pleased that this center will be able to help so many patients going through a difficult journey.

  A huge thank you to Pacific Life Foundation for its generous grant of $15,000! These funds will benefit the new Jean Howard Infusion Center, an outpatient center for chemotherapy and infusion treatment patients. We are so fortunate for this continued partnership with #PLGrants year after year! Our patients will be thanking you too.

  Our women's giving circle, Beauty In Grace, held its annual member luncheon on Jan. 24. The guests learned about how we will be using this year’s membership gifts of $73,000 to purchase special cryoablation equipment for the Breast Center. This allows our physicians to continue to offer varied treatment options, like cryoablation, for fibroadenomas and select early-stage breast cancers.

  Each year, the Beauty In Grace giving circle pools its $1,000 membership gifts to make a s...ignificant donation to a women’s health program at Saddleback Medical Center. Due to the growth in membership, this year Beauty In Grace will also be funding a new blanket warmer for the Breast Center. #beautyingrace2019

  The snarky T-shirts were in full force at the 20th, yes 20th, Dizz's As Is fundraiser supporting The Women's Hospital at MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center, which is celebrating its 30th Anniversary! The best part: Our beloved physicians and SMC execs take on the role of servers, handing out appetizers, and taking dinner and drink orders. All before a competitive live auction where baby docs and pediatricians battle it out. Always a memorable, good time.
