I've been grateful for the Austin SGI ever since learning about the practice of the Soka Gakkai International, known as Nichiren Buddhism, New Year's Day 2005.

This center is a friendly place with a very supportive community of practitioners. I love being at the center!v. Very inspiring and hopeful. This Buddhism based on the Lotus Sutra (the teaching for this age) changed my life at a fundamental level. Please come to learn for yourself - your life!

I loved to hear that every single person can awake their greatest inner potential and that through our personal transformation we can impact our environment and the people around us in a very positive way. If you want to overcome life's daily challenges, this is the place to visit and learn how to apply the Buddhist principle of chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo to change your daily life for the best. Very positive, compassionate, and sincere members will guide you on the path to absolute happiness.

I went to SGI in Austin today and it was a wonderful experience. I got lost and was slightly late, but greeted very warmly and directed where to go. Then a woman came up to assist me as I was new and the group was in progress. The chanting was awesome. Difficult to describe but a wonderful vibration from a group of people chanting together. Followed was a brief history and then a lesson about "Creating the Future with the buddhism of True Cause.". It applied to everyday life experiences. The whole group was very positive. Afterwards another person helped explain more about the program and other satellite locations. I would highly recommend this center.
