  Showed up at this place and no one was there even though the door was open and the open sign was on. After I'm about to finally walk out a guy walks outside and doesn't apologize or anything. I tell him I am wanting to get my Carlos Santana boots repaired. He laughs at me and says that they aren't quality enough to fix and says "I'm not touching em." What an ass. I'll go somewhere else.

  Don and his wife Kathy are one of a kind. Both are extremely nice and professional and take great care of you as a customer. I have done business with Don three times now and each time he did the job in a matter of days. The prices are very fair considering the quality of work Don does and are competitively priced compared to other cobblers. I would highly recommend Roundy custom shoe and leather to anyone in need of repair or custom work for boots, shoes, saddles, leather goods, etc.

  Grumpy guy...too big for his britches.
  Sent me down the road to another repair shop 15 blocks away. He began to fix my shoes but his sewing machine wasn't working.

  Proprietor is a true craftsman and highly skilled and can do almost anything with leather. Minimum charge $20 because he is so nice he used to get hung up on all kinds of little jobs to help people. His forte is custom boots and shoes made to order.

  Don makes and repairs boots, saddles, holsters, shoes. He is best in town, very knowledgable and great with hands. We keep going to Don for all repairs for. He also has a great sense of humour and is very entertaining. You won't be bored to wait while your items are taking a new shape and quality. Highly recommended.

  I have a pair of Luccese boots for 5 years, love them, over the time the heel need it to be replaced. Fare price and he even add a heel cushion which make my books even better. Family owned business, and I cannot compare the quality of the product with chain businesses. If you want to support local businesses and get more than what you are paying for, I really recommend this place, definitely I will come back in the future...

  I had a pair of shoes that I bought a few years ago that were in need of a new sole. The shoes were not expensive, and the soles and insoles were not of the best quality, but the leather uppers were in great shape...and I loved the shoes, so it was worth taking them to Roundy Custom & Repair.
  
  Don is a great guy, and was honest with me when he said that he would need to rebuild the entire shoe. It was honestly more than I wanted to spend, but after explaining what he would do, and how he would add value and QUALITY to my shoes, I had him make the repairs.
  
  I have brand-new shoes now. Don rebuilt these beauties from the sole up. New sole, leather bottoms, insole...you name it. I now have my favorite pair of shoes back. They are awesome and I know with Don's skilled hand, they will last me many years to come.
  
  Don Roundy was friendly, quick in his turnaround time, and I woud recommend him to anyone (in fact, I already have).

  I just had a pair of dress heels repaired. The heel plates were crumbling - aack! Mr. Roundy was glad that I had called ahead as he was in the middle of crafting work but still took the time to repair the heels on my shoes - while I waited - and a quick polish to finish the job off. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes from start to finish. And service with a smile! What a pleasant and personal experience this small business owner provides. I highly recommend Roundy Custom & Repair and will definitely go back. I would suggest you call ahead to either schedule or make sure there is adequate time for your needs as Mr. Roundy stated he appreciated my phone call.
