Came here on a Wednesday night after bars closed.T he place was being hosted, served and cooked by a single person. Took forever to get an order in, even longer to get our food. It was good food, but good lord, how are you gonna have an after hours restaurant have 1 employee do everytjing?
Food was great, service was horrible. This is now the second time I've had poor service at Ross'. No signs of management anywhere, always understaffed. Once we ordered, we waited an hour and 20 minutes for our food to come out (meatloaf and chicken tender salad). Had to go get my own silverware. Waitress (when she would stop by our table) said the kitchen was backed up yet there was at least one if not two girls standing around instead of busing tables, checking on tables or helping the backed up kitchen. Really a shame because the quality of food makes me want to eat here more often but the service will keep me away.
Family in Iowa suggested this place when I came out to visit them. So we all went and I checked it out. Although, it is a local restaurant with local suppliers which I love so much, the food was pretty damn good... Service was right on point... I just wish they had more of selection in the dinner section. Overall solid 4 Stars
You almost got 5 stars. The food was superb, oversized portions, great prices.... But dropped the ball. My biggest pet peeve when eating out is waiting and waiting and waiting 5 minutes for a drink refill. Everything else was grand, but got to keep those cups filled. Will recommend this restraunt to other's though.
A Quad Cities tradition... Although it's moved, it's kept its original charm. Good food, great service, wonderful atmosphere. Since moving, they have expanded their menu to include more local, vegetarian and healthy options but still have customer favorites like their Magic Mountain and the Volcano. QC Casual dining and open all night.
Ross' has been a long time area favorite. They were located in downtown Bettendorf and known across North America for decades. They have moved uptown and also upscale, but they still offer locally grown and hand prepared family meals that are easy to remember!
The "old standby" favorites like the Magic Mountain are at the new location. It even still has a lunch counter style serving area! Ross' new location is relatively easy to find near 53rd and 18th St.
Ross' was swamped with customers before, during, and after our visit on a drizzly Sunday afternoon. The service was great, but the food took over 30 minutes to arrive after we ordered. Julie our waitress kept us informed and attended to our requests while we waited.
Amazing place with a really kind staff. The breakfast is stellar, I have been going sense a kid and the food has never changed. It's has a nice environment with a classic taste that is perfect for a calm morning out. I would say if you're not from here, it's a good place to try out if you want a taste of the Midwest. I may be a bit bias but it's a great place
New location and building is great! Magic mountain tastes delishish. We were served quickly at the breakfast bar despite having every table full. The waitress even served our drinks in to go containers when leaving. A+
This place deserves more than 5 starts. Whenever we come here my brothers always eat the spaghetti and the Mountains are always filling and delicious. I look forward eating here every time and I love the atmosphere. Great location, great food, great people. 10 Stars!!
This was one of my favorite dives when it was in its old location. New building now location same Excellent food! Chilli is a little on the spicy side, but still very good. Burgers are great love love love the Morning Mountain and then there are the giant dinner platter sized cinnamon rolls. They are sooooooo good are good for one super hungry person or 2-5 avergly hungry people.
24/7 family owned, anything, anytime on the menu. Great bakery products. Bathroom and dining area really clean and busy. Monster cinnamon roll with cream cheese icing the size of a plate, weight of a brick and really good. Everything made from scratch. You should stop here!
Very good for late night eats. But not as great for dinners. The cocktails are a hit or a miss. Magic mountain was disappointing. I recommend their burger on the home made bun though.
The signature dishes are always outstanding and there are great gluten free options. Staff are great about dietary needs. Also, this is one of the few places that has biodegradable go boxes. Right on!
While several of their dishes are excellent, my new favorite is the Morning Mountain. Get it 1/2 cheese & 1/2 gravy for the best of both worlds.
The classic rock is an extra nice touch.
