If you have been following me for the past couple of years you may recall these amaze earrings I found in Paris while I was working there in July of 2017. ( @lescerisesdemars ) J’ADORE these earrings and only take them out when I’m in a certain mood. Looks like they are coming with me to LA. 🕸 See you soon, Cali! ⚡️

Seasonal locally grown flowers purchased from 4 growers at @magiccityflowermarket this week! I am in awe on the variety that I see brought into the studio each Monday morning. It’s incredible what we can grow in Alabama. 👒 #alabamagrown #alabamamade #seasonalflowers #localflowers #community

I have had this poppy for 11 days. But it’s many days older than that really. You have to think of the life of a cut flower as beginning when it was harvested. In this case, Italy. It then travelled to Holland and then directly to me in Alabama. (Lucky flower.) The moment after I took this she dramatically dropped a petal. See stories for petal pic. xx😽

I am getting more and more into this vase. All it needs is a very secure grid of clear tape. I like not having to work around chicken wire kinks and it’s easier on stems. #nofloralfoam

I once met a Navajo medicine woman named Annie Kahn. I sat amongst a circle of people inside her hogan. We entered at dusk and left in darkness. We were surrounded by the most fragrant sage. I wish I remembered more about it. I think about the encounter fairly often. Yesterday I found a passage about her online, in a book written about medicine women and other healers. According to the writer Annie said that she is best known as a the Flower That Speaks in a Pollen Way.

When I found this poppy yesterday I thought of Annie.
