Amazing service, cool restaurant and good food. The servings are pretty small though, so I wouldn't come here starving unless you're in the mood to spend a lot of money. That being said, our entire party loved the dishes we ordered and the drinks were exceptional. We'd absolutely come back but would definitely have a snack first.
I would recommend this place if you like real food, a great variety menu and something different than a traditional restaurant. I can't rave enough about how good the food tasted, the customer service was outstanding even for a busy Saturday night. Wether it's date night or going out with your friends, this should be a must stop because the price of the food is worth it. Love what this company stands for and can't wait to eat here again!
I was in town for work and so glad that my co-workers and I were able to get Root Down on the agenda. The food was phenomenal. We ordered a few small plates and shared - the best way to taste a little of everything on the menu. Our server was fantastic with guiding us through our dining experience. Unfortunately my cocktails were not on par with the food hence the reason me not giving Root Down 5-stars. I’d definitely go back. May even stop at their restaurant in the airport 😜.
Great service, polite and friendly staff. I met friends for cocktails on a Saturday night. It was full and the booths were reserved but the staff managed to find a work around for our party of four to have a booth since we were only having drinks, not food. This was appreciated since most places would’ve let us stand around without giving us a second thought. Also, I accidentally left my credit card behind. I was able to retrieve it the next day because the staff was so friendly about taking my information and calling me as soon as it was found. Again, I could’ve been blown off but I was not which I am thankful for. Overall great place, will return again. Cocktails were yummy too.
These guys have been around for several years but still turn out really excellent food in a high energy atmosphere. The chef has a lot of creative twists on the food preparations, they have never disappointed. One of our favorite restaurants, great cocktails too!
Awesome food. An excellent restaurant for out of town guests. Reasonable prices for great food. Entrees to change, but always tasty. Fun to share plates and sample lots of items. 'Devils on Horseback' (sweet bacon cheese app) always be a hit for those without aversions to dairy or bacon. Hard to find a dish that is not delicious. Can get a little loud depending on where you are sitting.
Great breakfast, snacks, and dinner items. I have a personal connection to this place as my great grandfather was the car mechanic for the funeral hearses for 20 years. It's really cool that I can go eat where he worked for many year.
We came here for happy hour and were blown away by the food and drinks. They were phenomenal, especially the lamb sliders! The bartender struck up a conversation with us and we let him know we visiting Denver for the first time. Even though it was the happy hour/beginning of dinner rush, he took time out to talk to us about places to visit and even wrote down his personal favorites and suggestions. Thanks for giving us a great first impression of Denver!
I almost never give 5 stars. That one is without a doubt. The food is out of this world!! We had the black gnocchi (starter) the chicken and the tofu salad (main), and the caramel and truffle (desert). The setting is wonderful: it's a former filling shop. Our waiter, Bill, was exceptional. Amazing experience.
