We are the Roosevelt, Utah Rotary Club. The club originated many years ago and was sponsored by the Vernal Utah Club. We have increased in numbers and continue to grow each year with members ranging in all ages.Our primary motto is "Service Above Self" and our objective is to provide service to our local community and support international projects together with other Rotary & Interact Clubs. Projects we have sponsored include: Coats for Kids, 3rd Grade Dictionary Project, Dog Shelter, Rails and Trails, Villa Aquarium project, assistance with the Kids Art project through the Episcopal Church at White Rocks Utah, iPad's for King's Peak Elementary, Trees planted at the walking park in Roosevelt, and many more. Our main fundraiser is the Enchanted Forest Dinner and Auction held annually in the middle of November. We have received great support for this project from the local Chamber of Commerce and many local businesses. This project is unique since organizations donate trees with the proceeds going to the non-profit of their choice. Businesses then bid on the trees and the funds are sent to the selected organization. The club generates funds from the dinner sponsorship's and we also usually submit a tree to be auctioned. The club has raised over $275,000 each year for many different non-profits. This project was selected as the Outstanding Community Service Project in Rotary District 5240 (Utah) for 2013.
