I've been white water rafting a few times, but by far this is the best place to go!!! Our Guide Matteo was awesome and made the whole thing way more enjoyable! He said and I wont forget "Best office there is" and thats when you know they really do love what they do. I am so planning another trip with friends because I went with family this time but 11 out of 10 would recommend the place 100 out of 10 would SOOOOO recommend Matteo!! Couldn't stop laughing since we first met till we got off the bus. Thanks for an amazing time!

Once our group finished kayaking and left the takeout area, my husband and I went ahead up to change so he could take a couple of our friends to get their truck. While he ran them up the street to get their truck, I walked inside their store to buy a hat my husband wanted. I was very surprised to hear a female employee loudly speaking negatively about some customers, as if none of the customers currently in the store could hear her. I thought it was very unprofessional and couldn't believe her supervisor was allowing it to continue. My husband walked in and purchased the hat and as we were leaving when he saw her. He starts telling me that he pulled up across the street to let his friends in the car where he could drive them to get their truck when that crazy lady came out screaming at them. He then tells me when he returned to pick me up that the same lady had been rude to our friends that were waiting outside for me. She had told them they needed to move from where they were sitting because they were in the way of her vans. First, they were not in the way and they told her they would be leaving in a few minutes as soon as her husband returned with the truck. She continued to rudely insist they move before she called the police. As my husband was telling me the story it hit me that the lady running her big mouth in the store earlier was actually talking about my husband and friends in that conversation. I was so angry that I went back in to let her know that I did not appreciate how she talked to my husband or my friends and that I was in the store when she was talking about them. Not once did she apologize but she did tell me she was the owner. What a poor leader ! A true leader leads by their example. If she treats customers this way and brags about it to her employees , then they will assume that type behavior would be acceptable from them as well. I made it clear to her that we would never be back and I don't think she cared one bit. She's not only rude but she's a liar! What she told her employees and everyone else in the store was not even true. It's a shame how one crazy, unhappy, old bat can ruin an otherwise perfect day!

This was my and my friend's first experience white water rafting and it did not disappoint. From the office staff being kind and professional and answering any questions, the importance they placed on safety, the history of the town that was taught on the way to the river (which was delivered in a fun way), down to our rafting instructor. Everyone was great however our instructor made our experience the absolute best. Please request MATTEO!!! He has alot of knowledge and experience, he's hilarious, and most importantly, he keeps you safe! If I did this again, it would be hard to match such a perfect experience. My friend had a blast for her birthday.

Today has been an awesome day. Josh our guide knows his stuff. He made it an experience to remember. There were several in our group that had never been rafting and now they want to go back due to the expertise of Josh. Loved our rafting experience. My family got there an hour early so we used their pavilion to have a picnic lunch. Very nice. I will definitely schedule this again. Thanks for the great experience

Just wrapped up our trip with our guide Blaine. There was only 4 of us on the raft which was awesome. Their facilities/buses/equipment were all clean. Blaine was very personable and down to earth made it a great experience, and no one fell in; we came very close a handful of times, but that is why it's fun. We booked the trip at 1000 and were on the river before 1300, Blaine was thankful for the extra work, which was nice! If you can snag him, go for it! will be back next summer.

My girlfriend and I went rafting this past weekend and we had a blast. Our guide JP was awesome. He was very skilled and knowledgeable. All the guides were great and made it a pleasure. With it being the middle of August the weather and water was perfect. Rolling thunder did a great job and we had no complaints what so ever. We cant wait to go back!

Amazing trip. I can not swim at all and we did not get stuck nor did we flip. Our guide, Slim, was AMAZING!!!! We were on the river with a variety of other companies and I must say the Rolling Thunder River boats held their own and were safe and knowledgable. Five stars!!

James was our guide. It was my first experience and James made it memorable. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous as well, they lowered the price after we purchased our tickets, so the manager gave us an option to get free pictures or reimburse the difference, that alone was such a great offer most places would of said too bad. I will definitely use them in the future and will use James or Osprey as my guide. Truly an awesome experience and great place to use. Thank you James and Staff. This place deserves 10 stars, if there was an option I would rate it that high. It was a blast and I believe that the staff made it fun otherwise it would of been just okay. Thanks again James.

This was the first time I have gone white water rafting. I came to Blue Ridge with a group of friends who really wanted to go. I was very nervous and did not know what to expect!! But our guide Gable "the man" made me feel very comfortable and explain everything we need to know and do. Within being in the water 5 mins I had a smile on my face and having a blast!!!He would always ask if we wanted do things before he would make the boat do tricks like spin or if we wanted to go down the rougher side or calmer side!! He make me love it and I can't wait to come back again!! Thank you Gable!! And thank you Rolling Thunder for your professionalism and awesome staff!!
