The staff here speaks very condesendingly to its guest and has a knack of belittling people as well. They continuously create rules everyday when a guest upsets them about something that they have no control over for discipline. Also, they force religion on people, which is very cruel and unfair to those that may not believe in God and are in serious need of shelter. They fight with you about giving you sack lunches for work. It starts off as a friendly atmosphere, but overall, a majority of the staff are very unprofessional and not courteous in the slightest. You get written up for some cruel and unusual things. They pretty much complain when it comes to help people who may be financially unable and also expect you to give them 85% of your check every time you get paid because they want to dictate what you buy when you do finally get an apartment. CERTAINLY not a place you would want to go if you are genuinely homeless. The only thing they are good for to the community is providing a hot meal.

This is a great place for people that are in need of help and recovery. I am thankful that they are apart of our community.

I called yesterday for some friends of ours that are going through a tough time with no where to go in the heat and storms. I asked the lady if they had any vacancies and she informed me she was unable to give me that information over the phone (odd- considering I wasn't asking for names or and HIPPA informationjust to see if they had open beds). This lady was the most miserable Non-Christian acting woman in the world. She was so rude!! She spoke over me so loudly the passengers in my vehicle could hear her. I understand that she may have had rules to follow, but shame on her for acting the way she did. Last time I checked God doesn't like ugly.

Worst place to be if your homeless,Discrmination,rude staff
Got bed bugs,everybody drunk and on drugs.No help at all for those people.One guy had a po appointment at 8 and told him to clean and miss his po appointment.Choose to see his po so he wouldnt go to jail.And they kicked him out.Another guy on ssi got kicked out cause he wouldnt give them there ssi check.Kicked another guy out for being muslim.This is a joke what kind of help they trying to give.Giving them people a little power and they take it to abuse these people.No wonder why people are on the streets freezing to death,living in tents.AlsoI making men shower with other men without doors is degrading.Im disapointed in this place who are suppose to be christan ran shelter.report this review -

It's the worst there are no human rights here the mission staff Paul acts like he's god he wakes up everyone saying this is god and it's time for you to wake up and James lane one of the case manager that got me in intake I told him I was deceived and was led on to believe that the economy was good and he said just be honest with me was it the heroine that brought me here I didn't paid no mind to it yet it was extremely unprofessional prejudice and rude and lugene another case manager I came sick from eating the eggs from the dinning hall for breakfast and McDonald's well the eggs got me sick that I puked publicly and I told him about it he asked was it from using too much heroine and the process of handling food to the people is extremely unsanitary it was the worst experience of all shelters ever and the fact they want the people with income staying there sign the money orders to them and have them sign it as well to even take money from the homeless I can say it is less stressful living on the streets here hiking back to St Petersburg Florida it's better than being treated like dirt from the volunteers which one of them took out my bodywash and poured it all over my clothes and the guy that searches you there he's unlicensed security and not just that the way he does it is considered sexual harassment he puts his hands on private areas with proper should be girl on girl guy on guy back part of your hand where knuckle are on the skin
