The nurses are rude and impatient. I was a patient there for 3 and a half years, and only had one nurse that was pleasant. They don’t wear masks which is very unsanitary. Every time I was there, he spit in my mouth while talking to me and his breath is horrible. The nurses also seemed to have no clue what they were doing. They act like they’re doing you a favor.
If you’re thinking about going here, be prepared to sit in the waiting room for an hour. Also be prepared to stare at the ceiling while the nurses are gossiping while they’re supposed to be treating you. And be prepared to sit 5 feet away from another patient, because all the chairs are right next to eachother in the same room.
I wouldn’t take my dog there.
Dr. Kay is one of the best orthodontists in the practicing field to date, apart from being intensely professional at his work he is also a great guy to have a little chat with before being rushed off to work on another persons dilapidated teeth as so many people have the need for better teeth. Having personally had over a decade of work done over my extensively crowded mouth and my brother having work done prior to me seeing him I can whole heartedly say after visiting many other orthodontists before choosing Robert Kay that he was and is one of the very few orthodontists that takes the time to work out the best solution for the patient. I might also add that his hallmark/trademark whatever you want to call it was and still is to the best of my knowledge "Never Turn Anyone Away" for practically any reason, including financial he would work out a payment plan so even people who were less fortunate with cash flow could still have his services. To me this was/is an uncanny way for any doctor at the time to work his business, uncanny but refreshing. Not only a great at his job doctor but one who wanted/wants everyone who comes through his door to someday leave with something better than what they had before.
Dr. Kay does not take pride in his job to say the least. Only having his assistants doing all his work each and every time I've been in his office. Between calling in and cancelling on many of my appointments made with Dr. Kay, and only seeing him every two months made the whole process of having braces on even longer. In the end result I was very disappointed, with not having the smile I would've imagined having. After having my braces off and getting my retainer, Dr. Kay has made no follow up with me at all. Seriously would not recommend to anyone wanting straight teeth.
