North Rivers Lodge is an awesome place to vacation. It's like glamping with very nice cabins equipped with a refrigerator, stove, bathrooms, showers, beds, couch, fans, heaters, fire pit and grill with utensils. It's located right on the little manistee river and is great for fishing. We drove 10 minutes down the road and rented kayaks and canoes to cruise down the beautiful pine river. It was a blast and Joe the owner is friendly and accomadating. The place was clean and comfy. I would definitely come back!

I would not stay again. The river was beautiful. The cabins were not. Three of us stayed there to go dirt biking around there and the riding was very good. We paid cash for our 3 night stay shortly after we arrived. Once we paid, we never saw the owner or had anyone check on us. The inside of the cabin was a little rough. The coffee maker was growing mold on the old grounds from not being cleaned or dumped. At night the cabin really seemed to come alive. I had a rodent run under the bed in my room plus about 6 bats fluttering around my room in the middle of the night. The good news is we didn't seem to have any mosquito's in the house!

Beautiful, rustic log cabin resort. They have a couple large cabins that are within 15 FEET from the little Manistee river. If you're expecting the Ritz Carlton, keep looking.. But if you want to take out the quads, be able to ride to the MILES of great Lake County trails from your cabin and have a waterfront view and escape the city life, this place is your spot!
