Walk or jog in Ritter Park five days a week. A true "diamond. In the rough" for the town of Huntington, WV, and possess it's own beauty during all of nature's seasons !!

This park is great! We were driving around enjoying fall foliage and accidentally happened on this park. My 4 and 7 year olds really liked it, and to be honest I had a great time playing on it also!

Really nice place, I've been going here my whole life. Only issues are the bathrooms aren't always open (it's seasonal), same with the waterfountains, and the dog park isn't as well kept as it could be, but all in all its a lovely place. It's huge. There's tons to do and lots of space to do it.

This beautiful public park has been voted as one of the nation's best public spaces and rightfully so. It's beauty and serenity is unmatched in the area, and the amenities are updated and fantastic. A must-see to anyone visiting. Don't miss the beautiful Rose Garden or the Circle of Hope.

City park with lots of space. It's about the only thing the city of Huntington maintains, so you might as well use it.

Beautiful park to walk around! We stopped by to break up our trip a little with an infant who can't handle the car for long periods of time and we really enjoyed how beautiful the homes were across the street, and the gorgeous tall trees. There were also a lot of people there, which was nice to see. Some were working out, others sitting on the lawn, some running, and even one painting! We highly recommend this beautiful park.

This is a must-stop location in Huntington WV. The park is clean and offers a variety of areas to enjoy. We especially like the rose garden, the zipline, and the fountain.

Ritter Park is Huntington's most popular park and one of the best things about living here. It has a 1 mile flat walking path around the main park. The path extends west along Four Pole Creek for about 2 more miles. The path is perfect for casual strolls or fitness walks and runs. Ritter Park is also a popular place for local bicycling enthusiasts to begin and end long training rides. The park also features a modern playground for kids, a great tennis facility on 12th Street, a famous Rose Garden on 8th Street, a brand new picnic shelter near the 12th. Street entrance (built in late 2016) and a new restroom facility scheduled for construction near the new picnic shelter in early 2017. There are also picnic tables and park benches scattered throughout the park. Above the tennis facility on 12th. Street is a popular dog park and an amphitheater with concerts and locally-produced plays in the summer. There is plenty of on-street parking around the perimeter of the main park with additional parking areas at the 8th and 12th Street entrances. More on-street parking is available near the tennis courts, Rose Garden, dog park and amphitheater.

Beautiful, award-winning park in the middle of Huntington. Wonderful place to take the kids, play a game of football with friends, go hiking on the trails, or visit the dog park with your furry friends. The path around the park is just shy of 1 mile by 100 feet, so it's also a great place to run and workout.

The running trails are fairly extensive and are soft crush gravel paths. Not much parking which is an issue on busy days. Overall a great park for a city of Huntington's size.
