The school creates a lot of traffic when I go for my afternoon Sheetz run.
This school sucks like hard. Crappy teachers with even crappier attitudes. Teachers strike and take money from our veterans who need it the most. If I could give a zero star review, I would. Half of the staff don't care weather or not the students pass. It's either you come in with straight A's or your S#%t outta luck. 98% of the staff are in it for the money 2% actually enjoy working with students, but i'm not naming names. Feminist teachers, and even gayer students. I'm pretty sure were in a concentration camp thanks to the B - schedule, and ISS. These kids out here are wearing trench coats and making videos while wearing them SEEMS FAMILIAR, HUH! We could easily all DIE from a school shooter thanks to the little to no security on campus. There is a lot of people who piss me off, but this school OH THIS SCHOOL TAKES THE F%#$ING CAKE!!!
p.s. if you think my "essay" was incorrect, then that should show what I do with my 7 hours here.
This school is rubbish because it discriminates against video games, the teachers strike instead of teaching, bathroom doors have no functional locks, and whenever students do not behave according to the standards of the highly presumptuous staff, they are put on a concentration camp style schedule known as B-schedule. The only factor which provides a single star is the over-restricted and privacy invasive MacBooks provided by our corporate overlord Apple.

One day I was walking down the halls of Ripley High School, and I saw a boy and a girl holding hands. Not only does that go against my religion but it goes against the laws of the United States. I have never seen the law that supposedly passed heterosexual relationships. Why do they deserve to get married? Next thing you know, people will be able to marry their dogs. We need to stop this propaganda now. I vow with every bone in my body, to create an alliance of anti- heterosexual students to eliminate the wrong-doings that have gone on for far too long. I'm not a hater, but I am motivating this world to become a better place and I believe the only way to be truly equal is to discriminate against the discriminator. Fight fire with fire and the rain will pour.
Thank you for your time. I give this school 1 star because their chocolate milk is chunky and there aren't locks on bathroom doors.
It happened Before it was just a myth, a legend. But now it is all too real. One fine day all was well in the town of Ripley, but it felt strange, like the calm before a storm. All was well, but I couldn't seem to shake this uneasy feeling, and then it happened, without warning. It was so sudden that I nearly keeled over on the spot. Over the intercom the dreaded phrase was announced "B-Schedule" the voice said. Everyone went mad, there was total chaos. The staff were beating their chests like gorillas and the students were sobbing uncontrollably. "Will the B-Schedule ever end?" I wondered to myself, and then I heard maniacal laughter over the intercom "IT ISN'T MY B-SCHEDULE. IT ISN'T YOUR B-SCHEDULE. IT IS OUR B-SCHEDULE!" Everyone began to wail once more. I shed a single tear. "B-Schedule." I whispered to myself before I blacked out. I woke up 10 years later on the same spot I had blacked out only to find out the horrible truth I didn't die in my coma, sadly. Also it had only been 10 minutes rather than years and we were still on the B-Schedule. My life will never be the same.
This school has given me and my son both nothing but trouble. My son, who is of African american / mixed decent, was called the n word by 2 staff members, who both were female, and several students have made fun of his appearance.
My son is a straight A student, rarely ever gets into trouble, and is always on his best behavior when we're in public. When I have to confront my son after seeing bloody razor blades in the sink, and blood stains all over his sheets, you don't realize how hard it is for a single parent like me to help him. He has been to several counselors since his battle with severe depression, (which by the way all started when he began attending Ripley High School in his junior year, 1 year ago) and all of them tell him to ignore the bullies and tell an adult. Well it's hard to tell an adult or staff member when they too are the bullies.
This school is the lowest I have ever experienced. My oldest daughter, Michelle, graduated from Ripley High School last year. Even though it was her last year in schooling, she still experienced bullying about her weight, (she is not overweight I might add), and appearance. She has told me on several occasions that Ripley High School ruined her senior year experience. To add fuel to the fire, she was not allowed to walk the stage on graduation night because of her 2 unexcused absences, 1 of which being my mothers funeral. I was furious, but at the time more sad for Michelle than anything. We had to go out and celebrate ourselves, and I could tell she was not having fun the entire time. I try my best to keep my kids happy, but this school is doing just the opposite.
It's not just me either. I know several other parents who have pulled their kids out of Ripley High since last year, and moved to nearby schools in Jackson County. The parents said it was the best decision they made for their children. I of course am too late, and my son will have to suffer through the rest of the school year until he can get the 27 credits mandatory to pass. He has been doing after school activities, (Plato, tutoring, etc.) to make up for the lost credits that were not mandatory at our previous school in Kentucky. If you want your child to be respected, have a reachable goal, and possibly not be scarred for life, consider another school.
