I have been coming here for 10yrs as a customer. I have pawned items as well as purchased things here and have always had a good experience. The negative reviews are from angry people who were upset these guys didn't want their stuff. I have been turned down myself, but they explain why. I have always been treated with respect and a smile. People forget the pawn business is about risk and reward in combination with supply and demand. if they take a risk loaning you money on an item, they also have to consider how much of that item they already have and how they are doing selling. if they have 50 ipads, and they are sitting on their shelves for a year, it may no longer be worth the risk of taking on more.

Terrible service, if i could rate any lower i would. They dont even deserve the one star. Very hostile environment, horrible customer service, the price they offered for my tv was insulting. 42" hd tv and they offered me 30$, i went to mt vernon and got 4 times that for it. Its worth the time and gas to go to mt vernon if youre trying to pawn something.

I've had very few problems here. Yea, the loans are outrageously high in interest but this is a pawn shop not a charity lender. I always end up dealing with the lady when I walk in. That's just how it usually works out for me.

She does seem a bit standoffish but, when you don't have an entitlement attitude and treat people with dignity and respect (like the way YOU want to be treated) it typically comes back to you. Shocking, I know.

By the way, they did an excellent job of repairing my jewelry.

This pawn shop has no customer service and seem very racist. There were two men working when I stopped by trying to get a loan for an IPad & a 55 inch Toshiba flat screen LED tv. A big tall one with gray hair, and a little skinny leather vest wearing one that highly resembled the Dad from Duck Dynasty. He gave me evil looks and was very rude & short with his words. They had the audacity to tell me that tablets were only running for $10, didn't bother looking at it to see that it was a newer iPad. So I'm standing there looking at both of them in disbelief & say "$10 for an IPad are you kidding me?"

Then after carrying the tv in the shop by myself, they tell me they were only going for 20-$40, then insisted on letting me know I wouldn't even be able to get $100 for the two items. I gathered my things & hauled myself out very quick! I ended up getting a loan for my iPad only (deciding not to pawn my tv), from a pawn shop in Mt. Vernon. I was given $120 (what I asked for) for my iPad, and could have gotten more. I agree with another post on here. This pawn shop needs to be shut down!!! It seems they resort to lies about prices to get rid of customers they don't like. I'll never patronize this place again.

Community...NOT. How can they be proud members of our community when they are doing what they are doing. They have the island, and the military, The husband is fair go to him if you dare enter. If you deal with the lady prepare to get stared down and judged (lesser) the moment you walk in the door, she is very rude and has NO business etiquette. btw the first rating is from one of thier employees, electrical department.......They need to be shut down

Walked in the store one day with younger brother and friends, 5 minutes later was accused of shoplifting. No apology was given after the false accusation. Don't go here.
They seem to be racist against non whites.

This is a well managed Pawn Shop. Not everything is worth they price they want it for, but in general it is much cheaper than other ways of obtaining merchandise. Games, movies, electronics, and musical instruments are well worth the price. A great place to find things you didn't even know you wanted or needed.
