I love this place. It is truly a sacred space for yoga and similar healing and restorative arts. Classes vary by teacher so if one doesn't meet your needs try another. The space is unique, I have spent much time on that bamboo floor in what feels like a tree house setting, being cared for by teachers who are skilled and intent to get you out of your world and strengthen you to face challenges you are bound to encounter in life when you leave.
I miss this place so much, I went here for 2 years while I lived in Annapolis and they have the best yoga classes and the most diversity of them I've ever seen in a studio.
I had a facial right before Christmas and it was the best facial I ever had. The aesthetician was very professional. The front desk staff was very polite and friendly
and offered me tea upon arriving and lead me into a beautiful relaxing room before
my appointment. I had a great experience and left feeling happy. I will return! I will recommend Ridgely Retreat to all my friends.
This place doesn't welcome you. I stopped by to take the blis class. I said that when I came in and the person at the desk made me feel so unwelcome. She just left me standing there ignoring me like I was inconveniencing her. She paid attention to the other two women there who could care less that she was there. She was rude and she should never be there to greet clients or potential clients in any way. Don't bother with this place--unless you enjoy rude reception.
Helen specializes in chronic pain and recent injuries. She does 'Bowen' work that can ease swelling and pain right after an accident or injury including teenagers who are playing sports in school or college.
The yoga instructors are well educated and take the time to make sure that you are in the positions correctly. They are not just there to get their own workout done. They offer a variety of classes at a variety of times to suit everyone.
