I attended the "meditation and mindfulness" retreat. The facility was nice, the food was fantastic but this was not a meditation retreat. It was a Yoga retreat with aspects of meditation incorporated. So just beware if you are looking for a meditation retreat this is not the retreat you want to sign up for.
Retreat in the Pines is my "Happy Place"! I have been to many retreats with various instructors and always have a wonderful experience. Regardless of how stressed I am when I arrive, I leave Sunday refreshed and grateful to have shared a weekend filled with laughter, tears, and healing with like minded women.
I have been to Retreat in the Pines several times I never realize how much I need a break in life until I get there and relax into the quiet and peaceful atmosphere that is there. The fellowship and laughter shared with others is so refreshing. the Yoga is awesome. relaxing, replenishing and refills my spirit to tackle life again. Even the little dog Zoe adds to the experience a little ray of sunshine herself she will provide her own version of animal therapy yoga with her love and playful spirit. This is an awesome place that every Yogi needs to experience. And the food and wine is never disappointing either.
I had the most wonderful weekend at Retreat in the Pines! We were here for a yoga retreat and it was such a great, cozy, comfortable, very large cabin. There are actually two cabins on the property and one of them has a second story yoga studio, which was lovely and VERY clean. The food was delicious, and homemade with love by Kaycee! She served fresh bread with every meal and she made it look easy to cook and serve three beautiful meals to 15 guests! There was always tea, coffee and fresh fruit available through the day. There were fresh towels and crisp, clean sheets on the beds. They even provided toiletries if needed and had a basket with small tubes of toothpaste, lotion, etc.
The owner Theresa is a fantastic host and yoga teacher! She took us through guided meditation and gave everyone options for their practice depending on everyone's level of yoga experience. I felt calm, relaxed and rejuvenated the entire weekend! She went above & beyond to make everyone feel comfortable. We had a cozy fire at night and all sat together sharing life experiences with one another. I highly recommend Retreat in the Pines and hope to visit again someday!
Love this place! Beautiful, relaxing, comfortable and clean. I've come out here for the past three years for fall yoga retreats and it is my favorite get-away. The main cabin and smaller guest cabin are well decorated and comfortable. We love sitting on the porch or hanging out in the hammock under the beautiful pines. The cabins are relatively new I think. The main cabin also has a beautiful fireplace to hang out by. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great, peaceful weekend getaway.
