Instructional, whitewater, scenic river and lake trips. Rentals are also available for all non-motorized craft. Good place to gather information on the local rivers and get gear for good day on the water. This store has minimal fishing gear.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Jackson. We own sit-on-top kayaks and were looking forward to trying some whitewater kayaking. We registered for the inflatable kayak (ducky) trip. Our guide, Brendan, was very knowledgable and explained everything in detail.

On the first rapid, Brendan told us to go left to go through Double Draw rapid or right to avoid it. My husband and I decided to go through the rapid. Unfortunately, we hit the first wave perfectly but the second wave came at a different angle and flipped our kayak. We were both under but were able to swim out. Our guide got to us as quickly as he could and gave us instructions on how to get through the rapids. After we struggled through Double Draw, my husband tried to flip the raft, but he was too tired. We weren't able to get back in the ducky before the next rapid, Haircut, started. We had to fight our way through the next rapid while trying to hold on to the oars and boats while feeling like we were drowning. Brendan was telling us that we were okay and had me hold onto his kayak to stay afloat. After this second rapid, the water was serene and Brendan towed us ashore. For the rest of the rapids, we were so afraid of flipping and too tired to paddle.

I feel that saying that "absolutely no previous river experience necessary" for this trip is a stretch. However, the family with two younger children were fine since they avoided the rapids.

I am so thankful that our guide was there and helped us throughout the trip. I am confident that he saved our lives. Overall a good trip, I just wish we hadn't flipped on the first rapid where there wasn't an eddie right after (like the rest of the rapids in this stretch).

We rented our raft and some wet suits from here. They provided great service for a good price. I'll definitely be going there again.

I drive from SLC to Rendezvous to get all my river gear. They have a great staff that really love rivers. They have great info on flows and optimal float trips for your abilities. The staff members at Rendezvous live to run rivers, they are truly subject matter experts.

Rendezvous River Sports is a great place for all your water needs in Wyoming.

We went there as we were headed to the Grand Tetons for kayaking in String, Leigh and Jackson Lakes. We needed to get our inspection paperwork clear for our kayaks originating from Washington State. We went there after attempting to go the Wildlife, Game department, their staff was out in the field so we had to pick an alternative inspection site.

The owner of Rendezvous River Sports personally came out to inspect our boats and was very particular about what we needed to do to clean our kayaks. He let us use his dry vacuum cleaner and had us wipe them out with a towel as well, he then ran his hands throughout the inside of the boat and we still found small items we had missed. He was meticulous and we are happy that he was. He is the first line of protection that is guarding the state of Wyoming from the invasive species. I am happy to see someone so dedicated to making sure the environment is safe. After a few minutes of cleaning our kayaks he gave us a clean inspection report and we then had to take that to a fly fishing store along the Moose Wilson Road heading towards the Grand Teton Park entrance and pay our fee there. In my opinion Rendezvous River Sports did all the work but got nothing in return.

My point of telling you all this detail is that Rendezvous River Sports did not make a dime from this entire event. He was happy to share his knowledge and came out along with another employee to help us clean our kayaks. We thought they were perfect before we even got here, we had already that day gone through a checkpoint in Idaho and Montana and in both other areas they passed with flying colors, we do keep them very clean.

Along with their diligence in protecting the environment they also have a fantastic water sports store that will have any and everything you need.

This is the type of place that deserves business for all the right reasons. Way to go Rendezvous River Sports.

    Awful experience.

We stayed at the Jackson KOA, about 15 minutes south of town on the Snake river. We wanted to tube down the river to our campsite. We asked for guidance on if there were any hour-long trips.

The guy (or rather, the kid) at Rendezvous told us to put in at Wilson. That seemed far, but I trusted him.

It ended up being a four-hour trip. There were no places to pull out the tubes until shortly before our campsite. One of our friends has low blood sugar and nearly fell unconscious on the trip. When I told the guy at Rendezvous, he laughed and completely didn't care.

Terrible experience. Would not recommend to anyone. Go somewhere else.

Dude, this place is great. The owner doesn't seem to
like money. Everything is priced honestly unlike the
rest of this rip-off town. The staff seems like they'd
hang out even if they didn't work there. The stoke is
so huge in the lanky, blond haired guy that I was
    catching a contact high.
