Great staff, clean theaters. Give them more money, Disney.
Do not trust their posted showtimes! I drove over an hour to this theater to see A Killing of a Sacred Deer because it was posted on Google, MoviePass and IMDB as playing at this theater only to find that corporate decided to not to show it only hours before the showtime. Regal management you are idiots!
This movie theater is poorly managed. It is always understaffed--it often can take 30 minutes or more to be served at the concessions and I have never seen more than one window open for ticket sales. The "ticket taker" as you enter the hall for the auditoriums is always rude and/or unfriendly--not a good impression Additionally, the hallway leading to the auditoriums frequently smells like urine, or worse. This place is so unclean. It is better to just drive from Falmouth to the Dennis "Entertainment Cinemas" or to the Wareham "Flagship Cinema". They are both better staffed and are clean.
Awesome Theaters. Great customer service. All around great experience
We went to see DUNKIRK yesterday (7/24) at the 4:15 showing. We arrived 25 minutes early it was a rainy day and suspected other people would have the same idea. The line for the tickets was literally out the door into a vestibule. A conservative estimate was 125 people in front of us.
When we got inside the lobby we could see that there were four ticket booths but ONLY ONE PERSON was selling tickets. 4:15 came and went and we were still in line. about 30 people to go. I ran to the theater (past the non-existent ticket taker see Howie pepe's comment) to check on the likelihood of getting (good) seats. The theater (#11) was super jammed ticket holders were coming out because it had become stiflingly hot.
Surely someone could have announced that it was a (near) sellout and there was no chance to get in and get a (decent) seat. No one cared to do this simple courtesy.
And, yes, if you are so inclined, often times you can walk right in and take a seat, bypassing the ticket sales booth. No one cares. About anything.
Regal Cinemas was a great experience for me. But first I will point out the first few flaws. First if you visit in the summer, they have the air conditioning set on blizzard, of course this really was irksome to me and a portion of people who have the same taste. The food is pricey, but how else are they supposed to try to take your money, and while on the topic of food, the popcorn sometimes is too oily and kind of makes it taste a little gross. Those are all my main complaints, but most are minor inconveniences. Lines are the main reason the service is mediocre, as the lines can get big when a movie just comes out, so therefore the service is not the best, but do well for the limited time they have to serve you. The snack bar is jam packed with great candies, foods, popcorn, and drinks all available at your fingertips. Every time I had to order, I always had difficulty ordering because I could never figure out what to get (I mean this a good way.) But most importantly the theater. Well, before that we should cover the hallways. Many previous reviews that came out before mine complained that there is never a person there to take your ticket, so there was no point in getting the ticket. Regal has fixed that as in my recent visits I have seen the person there, so I would say that those reviews are outdated. The hallways are long, and a little tiresome to walk all the way down, but it really depends on how old the movie you want to see is. Say if there was a movie that came out 3 weeks ago, compared to the movie that came out yesterday, the movie that came out 3 weeks ago would be closer to the back. Now to cover the actual theaters. Depending on how short the distance you have to walk, the theater can be large to pretty small, but the difference isn't apparent while watching the movie. There's an exclusive,"First Look" if you get there early, where they show you in depth looks at tons of products. But my biggest problem was as previously mentioned, the air conditioning. They also clean the theater as soon as the movie ends, so it's nice and fresh for the next people. In conclusion this is a great place to see a movie. I would definitely go again.
I don't know what everyone is complaining about. I was expecting a horrible movie experience, and I go to the movies a lot. When we got there, a very nice man sold us our tickets, and the kids at the concession stand were super nice. The popcorn was fresh. And, no, no one took our tickets as it was a very slow night, but what difference does that make? Were you planning on NOT paying if you could get away with it? The guy who sold us the tickets was watching who was coming and going. He knew who paid. The seats are just as comfortable as any other movie theater. It was a good experience. And I would think that if people don't frequent this location, there will probably be NO movies on the Cape at some point in the future.
Great movie theater, better then the mashpee one, but its understaffed and it seems the people that work there dont care about their jobs and they dont seem to enjoy any bit of it, they have no personality at all and they dont work fast nether. And who can blame them honestly, one person cashing out 20+ people in line waiting for tickets or concession stand is stupid, more then half the times I went its like that, i work retail so i can really understand the frustration, but i dont usually ever see the manager ever.
Theater is great BUT, floors are sitcky, seats are old and uncomfortable/broken, and prices are way to high for that kind of thing, for that price this place should be overhauled, im trying to find a better movie theater
Update 2017 : since i made this review and complaints like mine seem to keep coming in , they wont be improving this theater anytime soon, regal cinemas wont do anything, its a dieing business and a dieing company so its not going to fix its problems in most theaters, the whole take the survey comment, its a automatic comment for the company and it doesn't do anything, regal in my town and the regal next to my town are horrible, i use to go as a kid and they use to be so well kept, awesome fresh popcorn, and now most are just run down and broken pre popped popcorn that is stale from sitting around, specially with some of the younger workers that dont wana do anything, countless floors still sticky, seats are torn, broken and uncomfortable, still understaffed so it takes like 10-15 minutes to get anything (1 person for every 20 customers so there is a big giant line to get tickets which ALSO moves over to consession which again, 1 person is doing concession) and prices keep going higher, honestly, common movies are around 10 -15 bucks now, and god forbid if you get popcorn, you pay almost up to 25 dollars all together, this is why i go get something to eat first, and if anything ill get a medium drink with NO ice cause im not getting up to get a refill and no ice means more drink, i only go to ether if i really need to see ill go watch it, but if its a movie im interested in, ill wait, i hope they make movies rent able at home online, im getting sic of these experiences and theaters, cause there are NO good theaters on cape cod
Horrible product and worst customer service I've seen in retail.
We went today to a 3D movie and had to wait for someone to show up at the cashier. Same for the food. Then, the 3D glasses didn't work. The ticket checker's solution was to give us three more pairs every time we came back. We found the manager chatting in a corner and asked about it. She stormed off and returned 15 minutes later, movie still running, to say "all set." I asked what was wrong and she said "it's fixed." And it was fixed. But the movie wasn't restarted, we weren't apologized to, and neither was anyone else in the theatre.
Just adding this to all the reasons we only go here if we get a gift card.
Big movie screens, seating could be more comfortable. High priced! It will cost more for food than the movie. Good place for late 10pm movies.
I come here frequently, because it's 5 minutes from my home. I have a feeling the owners benefit greatly from the fact that for many people, other theatres are too far to go elsewhere.
That being said, this theatre is as about bad as other reviewers have indicated.
They are chronically understaffed. I get that you don't want to have too many people working in off hours, but customers shouldn't have to wait for staff to switch between ticket sales to concessions. You could use the extra person to do some extra cleaning to be honest.
Also don't reply with a link to another website to post the same criticism, we just told you the problem.
I love this theater. The popcorn is delicious and the soda is full of bubbles ! :) i look forward to going there. I only left 1 star out because sometimes there aren't enough employees working. other than that, the overall experience is positive.
