No one really matters in Montana, though everyone wants to, and often thinks he or she is important. Movie stars, literary savants, cowboys and girls, billionaires, coastal transplants, fifth generation ranchers, fly fishers and hunters.
Still, no one matters.
And that is our greatness. We are a pale speck in the larger landscape.

Reedfly Farm afternoon Bloody Mary's made with our friend Merilee Kick's vodka and our tomatoes garnished with elk thistle (the kind that saved Truman Everts in Yellowstone)...with fresh wild rainbow trout caught by the back door, and garnished with Yucca blossoms and stems from nearby.
