I had been a big fan of Red Rooster for some time. Today's experience changed my opinion for the worse. Inattentive staff, even though the bar was mostly empty, and their jumbo clams which I have enjoyed many times, were replaced with ordinary, 90% breading clams you can find anywhere. What used to make them special and worth the drive, has been replaced with apathy. What a shame

My wife and I stopped into the Red Rooster for the first time this afternoon. We want to call out the wonderful service of our waitress, Maureen! She was amazing! It is rare that we have such a positive experience at a “bar.” It was Maureen’s smile, her connection with us both, and her genuine ability to make us feel welcomed and valued. She is personable, helpful, humble and real. It was a delightful afternoon at a “bar.”

**Thank you Maureen for making our spontaneous decision to just “stop in” one that makes us smile. **

We will be back to the Red Roosterbtw, the hummus appetizer and drinks were Great! 👍🏻

I've been going to the Red Rooster since I was a kid (when it was under old management), and since the new owners have changed the decor and food, I'm pretty impressed. Before, the food wasn't much more than typical "bar food" but now they have a real cook who makes excellent food. I've been there 3 times since new management came in and I have not been disappointed. It's not a fancy restaurant by any means but the food is superb and the service is fine.

Great place for a nice lunch. Burger and fries were delicious, service was friendly and fast. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

The person behind the bar was more concerned with drinking her shots with a customer and co-worker then serving other people at the bar. A nice place to visit but could use a little lesson in customer service.

After a day enjoying Muskegon Winter Sports Park, the Red Rooster Tavern was perfect for a beer and a burger. The service was excellent. The food (a burger and a wet burrito) was very good. The atmosphere was very casual. Perfect after a day outside. I can't wait to come back on one of the evenings they have live music. Lots of local beers on tap.
