  I got a room for one night. The room looked ok when I walked in. I have a few suggestions though. The tv table, and the table beside it, were too close to the bed. There was barely enough space to walk in between. Also, the room could have used another trash can. Those issues could be fixed easily. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

  One of the nicest RRI we've stayed in. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff... only missing a small breakfast. For the price, though, it's not the end of the world.

  Our experience was terrible! I asked 3 weeks in advance to have rooms side by side and this wasn't done! When we arrived, I was given my room key and my door wouldn't open at all! The manager acted like I was stupid and followed me to my room and had to KICK the door to get it to open! The door had to be literally slammed to get it to close! I requested another room and the other manager at the front told me that he would absolutely do this for me! The original guy told me it couldn't be done! He went to my room and removed the weather stripping in order to "help" with the door! It didn't work! He was just rude and didn't care about his clients! Never staying there again!

  This hotel is quiet and closer to the interstate, be away from the noise. Our first room smelled a little musty because they allow pets, but this was quickly remedied and the room we were changed to was great. Recently renovated and very clean, the staff were excellent and this hotel is located conveniently near many destinations.

  The room was really great. The beds were super soft. They're newly renovated, but be careful. They allow pets, so if there is carpeting, it could smell musky. We changed rooms and had no problems after that.

  My stay was perfect. The staff was more than accommodating. The newly renovated rooms were very nice. It is in a very convenient spot. Close to downtown and everything birmingham has to offer. Thank you red roof!!

  We didn't expect much for the price we paid and I'd say we got it if it about what we paid. The rooms were bare bones and tightly packed but seemed to be relatively clean and tidy. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, however, so we didn't get the greatest rest but it got us through the night. We needed a place to be until our house was ready in the early afternoon so I inquired about late check out (which I would have happily paid for) and was informed that they don't even consider those requests and that if I checked it a minute past 11am then I'd be charged for another full night. It's a pretty stupid policy consider it didn't appear that the motel was full. The biggest complaint I had is that the doors to the rooms didn't seal properly so there were gaps which let in a lot of humidity with all the recent rain and there was a thick coat of moisture on everything. It made sleeping quite uncomfortable. Overall the room fit our basic needs but nothing more. Don't have any big expectations for nice amenities.

  Convenient enough, cheap enough, and pet friendly, plus a small pool. The room looked fairly clean, but the floors (hard paneling stuff) can't have been all that clean, because they made shower-cleaned feet gross almost immediately. Not a deal-breaker or anything, but there weren't any microwaves or fridges in the room, but there was a blow dryer and more than adequate power outlets all over the room. I'd stay again, if only for the lack of single-pet fee and reasonably cheap rates.

  We made an unexpected stop here due to Winter Storm Helena, & will definitely make this a regular stop! Dylecia (front desk) was a heart warming delight who made all our stress fade away with her lovely self! She was able to accommodate all our needs, and still offered to do more! Our room was clean, well stocked, comfy bed & pillows!

  No one told me I would be staying above a room they were renovating. Work started early in the morning(very loud work) and the only reason I stayed there was to sleep and I couldn't even do that. When I called the office to complain about the noise they lied to me saying "there is no construction happening." I have been trying to contact the manager and even after leaving several messages he has yet to return my calls. I am a rewards member at red roof and I am extremely displeased and will probably no longer stay at any red roofs.

  Just OK. Our room was newly renovated, but there was construction in the room next door so lots of banging early in the morning. The carpets weren't very clean with debris in the corners. We were told breakfast was available at the hotel, but upon arrival were told there was only coffee in the morning.

  Would have given it at least 4 stars, despite this room didn't have a fridge or microwave, but that wasn't up to me (company I work for books the rooms in advanced) plus I've stayed here before and the do have really nice rooms on the other side. Other then that everything else was very pleasant. I gave 3 stars mainly because the pool was filthy with leaves and trash for 2 days, and the room service that cleaned the rooms didn't understand basic instructions. Told them the day before I don't need any cleaning in the morning. I'll call if I need something. Came in twice within 2 hours the next morning. First time didn't even knock. Just walked right in. 2nd time I was mad but simply asked how about another pillow, since I already had 5 damn towels. 6 hours later no pillow. Heard one other person arguing with the same service because they wouldn't let him use the laundry mat. Might need some new workers and this hotel would be a really nice red roof.

  The reviews we saw when we first reserved our room weren't very good, but when we arrived, we discovered that there was new management and that they were in the middle of renovation. We spoke with at least four of the staff during our two-day stay at the motel. Each one was pleasant and accommodating, eager to make our stay a good experience. They put us in a renovated room; it was clean, a good size and had everything we needed. We didn't see an iron but they probably would have had one available if needed. It's obvious the new management is trying hard to turn a neglected motel into a clean and affordable place to stay.
  
  There was a pool in back, but the unexpected pleasure was the rock cliff behind the hotel covered with trees and other vegetation, with a small drainage 'waterfall' that sounded so peaceful, I just leaned on the balcony of the 3rd floor and absorbed the serenity.
  
  We did wish for more towels and soap, but we made it just fine. We had hot water, a comfortable bed and a great air conditioner, so were well satisfied with our stay.
