This place gives me nostalgia. Absolutely LOVE this place. I went here when I was a kid with my family and the memories always come full force when I enter the Gorge. Another one of God's beautiful creations.

Great hiking with lots of trail options for long or short hikes. Auxier Ridge trail has amazing views. Will have to come back for some paddling in the summer.

Great VIEWS well maintained trailsRough Trail lives up to its name, for a break walk the spine of Pinch-em tightDefinitely see Hanson's Point & Grey's Archbeware of the yellow jackets they are everywhere & angry! Best advise I can give is DON'T start at the Rough Trail TH off of chimney top rdthe end of your loop will be a steep mile back to your car!

This is such a unique area in the Appalachians. I have been hiking throughout the Eastern US for my entire life but have never come across the rock formations that we saw here. We tackled the Indian Staircase as well as Chimney Tops and Princess Arch. Each one was fun for our teenage boys. They enjoyed scrambling over the rocks.

The drive-thru here is just beautiful plenty of good hiking trails some of them really easy with arches summer more challenging to get to that this world worth the trip has great canoeing camping is also very nice

Excellent park for more advanced hiking. If you're only going to go for a day, be sure to preselect which trails you want to take because it's simply that massive. Be sure to bring a map with you as well as plenty of water and food as these trails are much longer and rougher than those at Natural Bridge. You are also less likely to run into people on the majority of the trails as it is less touristy than Natural Bridge. Depending on which trails you take you will have amazing views of the surrounding area. Though if you're not one for hiking, the gorge has a scenic drive that'll take you through the entire park--which is a must see during autumn.

This is one of the most gorgeous places I have ever had the chance to visit. I'm usually terrified of heights but I took the sky lift up to the bridge and the view was breathtaking! We stayed at the campground, it was right on a creek and it was so nice. The hiking trials are really fun. Miguel's pizza was delicious!

Red River Gorge is beautiful. It's a must-see if you're in Kentucky and you love the outdoors. The river carves out a stunning landscape, complete with lush forest and eye-catching rock formations. The trails are well-maintained, and you shouldn't have any trouble finding the trailheads.

A wonderful place for hikers, climbers, or nature lovers of every skill levelBUT, not all of the trails are clearly marked and easy to follow. Research the area you will be visiting, have and know how to use a compass and maps. Most of the trails are well worn, but folks haven't followed the "Leave No Trace" principlesmeaning there are tons of well worn paths everywhere.
I highly recommend a multi-day visit to the gorge!response / report this review
