Our time there was wonderful! My husband and I took our daughter for her 10th birthday and she had a blast. They pulled out 3 massive draft horses for us and I was a little nervous for my daughter, but all 3 of them were so well trained and they looked beautiful. Our tour guide was amazing, she talked and joked with us for the entire ride and made sure that my daughter was comfortable. My husband joked about taking Jerry (his horse) home with us. The trail was absolutely beautiful and seemed well maintained. My daughter loved feeding all the horses as well. They have massive herd and all of the horses looked happy to be there. Definitely going back!

I brought 2, first time riders with me this visit because I totally trust Red Ridge Ranch and their staff to treat my family to a great experience. Loved that we got to feed the horses afterwards. They have so much to offer ! I live about 2 hours away, but it's definitely worth the trip for me to come out and ride. It's hard for me to believe the poor reviews of this place. I'm a repeat customer, and have never had a problem.

Went here ONE time and I will never come back! 1) Took FOREVER for them to get the horses and for us to leave on the trail. Very unorganized! 2) I had my 2 yr old son who had to ride with me, ud think they'd give me a bigger saddle? Nope! He didn't even fit in the saddle with me, we were uncomfortable the entire ride! 3) Before we left on the ride I hear her say to the girl behind me "stay back a few feet this one likes to bite", so that made me uneasy as I had my son with me and if this horse behind me bit my horse it wouldn't be good. And the entire time the girl behind me was on my horses ***!!!! I just wanted to get off within the first 10 min of the ride! 4) the trail guide didn't say a single word the entire time besides when we almost got back. It was very boring. I've had other guides where they make u laugh, tell u history on horses and land, and just talk about ur trip/vacation. But not this place!! 5) When we did get back no one helped me get off I had to ask someone to hold my son so I can get down. 6) the helmet for my son was loose and when I asked for a smaller size they said oh that's all we have sorry. Like if my son fell off that horse that helmet would have done NOTHING for his head and the workers could have cared less!!! They are there for the money and that's it!!! Owner is a *****! GO TO WOODSIDE down the road!! Much better environment, staff, cleaner facilities, and they care about ur experience with them unlike this place!

I was on the Advanced trail ride. I was expecting much more cantering and trotting but we only cantered twice and trotted a handful of times. More of a advanced beginner than what was described on the website. I ride elsewhere. The condition of the horses was deplorable. The stable was very dark and the isle and stalls were filled with manure and the flies that filled the air were so thick and covered the horses. Also they have 140 horses and very minimal pastures; the water source they had was a small pond that was filled with green algae. But they are on 230+ acres with multiple lakes and a creek so you would think that there would be plenty of room for all of them. The staff were friendly but NOT well organized and were arguing back and forth about this and that. They also had kittens (9weeks old) who were covered in fleas and ticks. The shirts they had for sale were also dirty and nothing that a good wash couldn't fix but still rather nasty.

Went trail riding here. Enjoyed hanging around the barn watching the horses get prepped for riding. Lots of farm animals on the property. Really nice people running the place.

Reading some of the other reviews before my visit made me a little worried but my experience was good! I decided to check it out while visiting the dells despite some of the negative reviews, and I'm glad that I did. My boyfriend and I have both ridden before but it's been a long time for us both so getting thrown on a big draft horses (Shadow & Callie) was an adjustment still the horses were very sweet and the owner and staff gave us tips for how to get each horse to ride well (like keep the reigns look or keep a close eye on distance between your horse and the others as she like to bite the others) We had 3 other adults on our trail ride and while the guide was pleasant, he didn't speak more than two or three words to us on the trail. It seems like others had guides that talked about the history of the property & such. But it was honestly nice that way, it was a very cold but beautiful day and the silence (besides hooves through mud) was peaceful. We did get to trot twice which was fun! We bought the $5 bag of treats since I had read the owner might push for it, it was enough to split between the 2 I horses and I enjoyed getting to feed them. My boyfriend got some cute pics of me feeding treats and the owner also took time to take a few pictures of us on the horses before the trail, even though we were a little late and the group was ready to go! She was honestly very pleasant and friendly, as was the rest of the staff. They gave us coupons for $3 off the next ride and I'll definitely go back when we visit again!

Some of my family and I went to Wisconsin for a vacation of about four days and were around the Wisconsin Dells area. Here we received some pamphlets for fun opportunities and places to go to, including coupons. I absolutely LOVE horses but never got a chance to ride on my own; only at carnivals like any child. There were two horse riding stables so I did research to see which had the better deal. Red Ridge Ranch was definitely better charging only $25 a person and having a coupon for $3 off each person! The service there was great! There were not only horses but roosters, kittens and some dogs that we could see and play with while we waited. We also had the option of feeding some horses that were out. The people at the ranch are very kind and give helmets for free if you'd like. The trails are beautiful and our guide was focused, fun, and interactive. The horses there are amazing, well trained, gentle, and stunning! It was very fun and if you're looking for an enjoyable time I definitely recommend Red Ridge Ranch!

Patrick was our guide and our 9-year-old daughter's mentor for her first real trail ride. He did an excellent job giving our family instructions and led us through the beautiful trails. The horses had personality, and it's apparent that the entire family works so hard to ensure everyone has s great time and wants to come back. We'll be back in fall for the festivities and look forward to many more adventures here!

We had a great experience at Red Ridge Ranch.
I took my 4 & 6 year old daughters for a trail ride. Both of my daughters have taken lessons but this was their 1st trail.
The trail ride was fun and we even did some trotting. The trail was also shaded which made for a pleasant ride through the woods.
Each of us rode our own horses. Checkers, Belle & Jerry had great temperment, were well trained & wonderful horses to ride.
Cindy runs a tight ship and was an awesome host. They have a lot of horses and do a great job matching up horses to the rider's ability.
Jackie, our guide, was excellent, entertaining & used a lead with my 4 year old.
Good times! We will be back.
