  I highly recommend Julie Read of Read Design Window Fashions. I was finding myself overwhelmed with so many window treatment choices. Luckily I stopped into their Plano showroom and I'm so glad I did. Julie came to my home for a consultation. After seeing the entire home, Julie immediately came up with the perfect suggestions for my windows to provide a cohesive look throughout the entire home. Shortly after her visit, Julie's team came to measure each window. The shutters and shades were then ordered and professionally installed. The installers were very professional and cleaned up after the install. There was a manufacturing issue with one of the window shades and they immediately ordered a new one and will replace the defective shade as soon as it comes in. Other than that one issue, everything fit like a glove. It was so worth hiring a professional. The entire process was hassle free and I am thrilled with my new shutters and window shades. Julie also offers complete interior design services. So if you want to have a cohesive look with furniture, art work, accessories and window treatments, she can create a beautiful design for one room or your entire home. Read Designs is a family owned and operated business which to me is another plus. Julie was very respectful of my budget and I was surprised at how affordable the project was. They also provide lots of financing options. Thank you Julie and team!!

  I highly recommend Julie Read from Read Design.
  I was having difficulty completing the interior design choices on our new home. After speaking with several neighbors many of them recommend Julie Read. I called to have Julie come out for a consultation.
  Julie was out a few days later to assess our home…a few days later we joined Julie in her show room to review her choices. I was pleasantly surprised how she captured both my husbands and my styles (two complete opposite styles). We were happy with all the choices she made. Now the home is final complete and tasteful done!
  You look at your home every day…it’s worth the investment.

  I love Read design!! I stumbled in there one day and have been back many times to purchase window coverings and artwork and furniture. Friendly family run business from Julie the designer to Gary, her husband, who does installation. Excellent all the way around.

  Please run. Do not use their services. We were absolutely mistreated by Julie when we didn’t agree with the job done, she was condescending and disrespectful. They destroyed our windows and left holes and window seal scratched. Plus the product didn’t work. At the end, we got our money back and that is the only reason I am not reporting them with the BBB.

  I worked with Read Design on Plantation Shutters for my new house. The company was responsive to consult, measure and order all the window coverings. Installation went well until there were issues that needed to be fixed. It is one year this week since the work was done. The company will not come back and adjust shutters that don't stay open. Some shutters fit poorly and drag the window sill causing damage because the fit is not correct. The company charged my credit card without my permission and will not stand behind their work by providing the courtesy of making adjustments to the product they installed. I expected more when spending over $8,000 with them. Be aware of the poor service after you pay.
