Great Barbers for years, this is not just another trendy “barber” shop that hires stylists and puts them in an old fashioned setting. They really know how to cut men’s hair and the shaves are a great treat.

Just wasted twenty bucks on a cut that I could have given myself while blindfolded on 2 hits of acid. The dude who cut it was stoned and told me he just had a beer. What a joke. Tho fletcher at the front desk was super understanding and refunded me so I'll give 2 stars for him

Easily the worst hair cut I've had. Ever. Barber didn't even follow any of the directions I gave him. None of them. He cut my hair to how he thought it needed cut. I had to have him fix it multiple times. His clippers pulled my hair through the whole visit. Not once saying sorry even though I told him. Couldn't even follow my requests of timing my beard up. Then to top it all off, I walked out smelling like cigarettes Definitely over priced.

You go into a traditional barber shop looking for one thing, A DECENT HAIRCUT. Today was the worst experience I've ever had getting my hair done. I walked into the shop and stated I wanted a haircut and electric razor shave. I was told to follow this kid to get my haircut and while walking through he was on his phone the entire time. He mentions to give him a second that he was deleting comments on Facebook and how f**king stupid some people are. He continued using unprofessional language during the time spent with him also stating that he was two hours late to work today because he slept in watching comics this morning. Hoping he wasn't going to get in trouble for it. In regards to the haircut I told him I wanted a high and tight cut with a little bit taken off the top for a fauxhawk. He used the trimmers for maybe 5 mins and then started cutting using scissors on the side all while complaining that I had "Mad Cowlicks" he told me that the haircut would look amazing after I went home and put product in it. Never once did he cut any hair off the top of my head. He said everything looked good and went on with the shave which was a 1 min job with the trimmers he used to cut my hair. While checking out he made sure to stay by the check out lady in the front while discussing tip and was throughly disappointed when I gave him $2 which he really deserved nothing. Never once was the hot lather neck shave given or any decent conversation given other that his multiple F-bomb rants about whatever he was talking about. Not the mention the horrific haircut that I got. I ended up having to go to another barber to fix the haircut that I received. I will never again come into the shop and will tell as many people I can about my experience. It was a wasted $31 for a simple haircut due to a individual not taking their job seriously. Ray's Barber Shop you let me down.

great haircut! good chat with my barber he's awesome! The receptionist doesn't look friendly, didn't smile, and just sits on her chair while processing the payment. And what a best way to give tip when she asks you, "Would you like to give tip to your barber?" And whilst the barber is beside her. Still a nice place for me.

First good haircut I've had in 30 years. I used DANIEL ARREDONDO. My hair never looks good. Whatever he did, he did perfect. Thank you for making it so I don't look like a dork for once.

Ray's is an awesome babe shop that I've gone to for over two years now. The prices keep climbing up though, and have raised from $15 to $20. It's not unreasonable, but it doesn't sit well with me knowing that the barbers themselves aren't getting a chunk of that, and meanwhile their tips are decreasing because of the rising cost of haircuts. Being in college, it's hardly affordable now.

Only reason I still go is Devan. Best haircuts I've had in my entire life every single time and each haircut is like a work of art to him. Sincere dude who takes his time and takes pride in what he does, never taking shortcuts. Would recommend him to anyone without a second thought.

It has a unique, old school, barber shop feel to it. The inside of the building is really cool. The barbers are friendly. They have TVs with sports playing on them. The online reservation system is a little buggy (use Firefox), but is still convenient. I always get a good haircut and am treated well here.

Without question the worst barber experience I have had in Utah. What I asked for and what I got are two different things. I asked for a high fade from bald to a 2 with a hard part. What I got was a mid fade from a 0 to a 2. That is after I told the barber to go higher. The hard part is probably the worst part. It's extremely wide and not straight. the hard part isn't even hairless due to the fact that they did it with clippers. my haircut prior to this wasn't much better. When they did the fade, they didn't blend it at all. There was a definitive line where they changed to the next size. I was hoping that that haircut was just a fluke. Unfortunately I have come to find out that they really don't care about the quality of the haircut they give people.

Pretty chill place. I shave my head, so I don't really have much use for a barbershop at this stage in my life, but I wanted my messy brother in law to get his hair trimmed and my wife and I offered to pay for his hair and beard trim if we can choose the type of hair cut. He agreed, and since we were around the corner at Finca, we ended up here. The building and location is cool. Apparently it used to be the Mayflower Diner, and it has all the original paint and ceiling inside, so it's unique. Most of the people here are getting your trendy shaved side head, part on top, with a beard, and they do that style well. There's tons of chairs and they do accept walk-ins. A haircut and beard trim cost $25 plus tip. On the way out the barber asked who cuts my hair, to which I took off my beanie and said myself. He asked why I shave my head and I said because I'm balding. He looked at my hairline and convinced me that if I grow my hair out, he can style it correctly to barely notice. Not sure if I 100 percent believe that yet, but I am currently on day 5 of not shaving my head which is the longest I've gone in about 3 yearsso we'll see

I'm here in Salt Lake City by way of Illinois. I decided I needed a cut while I'm taking in the sites. I find Ray's online so I figure, why not give them a try? Now, I didn't expect much just a basic cut. Well, I got a guy named Rob for my barber. Rob was very professional, sociable and it did not take long to observe that he takes pride in his work. Rob advised that he received a degree in art and his artistry and attention to detail was apparent in his cut. Now I'm not from here but if/when I ever come back I will be requesting Rob. A+ service

Comfortable atmosphere if you're used to it. If you've never walked in before you might feel the opposite. Mike is usually my barber, he does fantastic work, strongly recommended. Walked in the other day and a "Kennedy" ended up cutting my hair. I strongly suggest you run as far away as you can from this kid. He has no idea what he's doing. Asked for a simple hard part, 2 on the sides, and a fade. Technically speaking I got what I asked for; a 1/4" thick hard part (seriously, if not bigger), a "comb" fade on the back, and a messed up blend on the side opposite my hard part. If I didn't live so far away from this place I'd go get my money back.
